usually when you have hepatitis c you have an issue losing weight, not gaining.
it could be you have a dual problem as with many heppers....
by my term "dual" meaning you have hepatitis c, but you probably also suffer from NASH or diabetes. I certainly would seek the advice of a gastro and look into treating your hcv.
i still have nash, but my hcv is gone!
acupuncture will not clear hcv, nor will it get rid of other problems associated with the liver.
good luck

It is actually just the opposite. Rapid weight loss was the first symptom of my husbands Hep C. He was in late stage liver disease. I am Hep C positive, and have lost weight more slowly than he, as mine is under control. Edema (swelling) does occur very late in the disease, but if you stay away from alcohol, street drugs, and tylenol, you should be able to lose the weight you want to, and live a long healthy life. Peace.

I hope your acupuncturist uses new needles each time. yes since your liver function is slowing down you will gain weight and get bloated. My Brother had hep C and we saw him balloon, but this was at his late stage.
I hope your on medication and under the care of a qualified physician.
