I was 20 when I had my first baby. Now, it's 10 years later, I'm married to a new person, new life, etc.. My friends want to give me a baby shower for the new baby. Is it rude to have a 2nd shower?

It was your friends' idea, so it's perfectly acceptable. And very understandable, since it's been so long and you probably don't have much baby stuff left over from the first one.
Personally I never understood why there should only be a shower for the firstborn anyway. You still need stuff for the others when they come along!
Go. Enjoy. And congratulations!

It's not rude if it is your friends' idea, since it has been so many years in between babies. I wouldn't let them throw a shower for baby #3, though. That would sound greedy. But if they want to do it for baby #2, I'd let them.

Nothing is wrong with having a baby shower if it is what your friends want to do for you.

of course!! you're suppose to have a baby shower for every baby right? at least that's what i think it should be or else it's pretty unfair... it's a celebration for the baby's coming.. so of course, do it for baby number 3 if you will.

my kids are 6 years apart. I had nothing left from my first child and my friends threw me another babyshower. It was alot of fun and we received lots of items that we truely needed.
I think after 10 years your propably just like me. Enjoy the kindness of your friends and enjoy your babyshower.

Definitely NOT!!!! Especially considering the age differece of the kids. It's not like you still would have all of the BIG stuff saved from the 1st child.
You are really starting all over. Enjoy it!!
