I think that is against church doctrine. However, you can still be christian and gay.

I am southern baptist, and this is my opinion. Being gay is something you cannot help, it is a disposition that you have for some reason you did not choose. Acting on it, however, is something you CAN, and should, help. God makes some people gay as an extra challenge they have to bear. God loves patience: he gives some people impatience as a trial. God loves those who wait to have sex in marriage: people are lustful as a trial they must overcome. It will make you stronger. But honestly, my church would rather have a believer otherwise who is gay than someone who just leaves the church altogether.

Not unless you bag on other gays while your boyfriend waits for you in the car. Then again, that's a characteristic of being just Southern. Baptist and Gay are superfluous.

No cuz God is absolutely against homosexuality and so being a baptist which say no to being gay would make u a hypocrite. Read 1 Corinthians 6:9

Only if you are stupid or insane. No other baptist would recognize you away. But then again, they don't recognize other baptist in liquor stores either.
