Only one way to put your mind at rest, get tested. That is the only way.

Hi, I think you need to have a serious word with your friend. If he's with her all the time then it's unlikely he's cheating, but she should discuss her issues with him so they can have a healthy relationship. It's not good to have troubles like that round the baby, they should sort it out for the babies sake. HIV is very scary, but also quite hard to come by and I doubt she has it as there are no immediate symptoms. If she is convinced, pop along to the GUM clinic, or just doctors and ask to get tested, it's free and will put her at ease. If he is cheating, get checked anyway cuz there are far more diseases to catch, especially chlamydia, although this is relatively harmless if treated, SO SHE MUST GET CHECKED! Also, if he is cheating, throw him out! Good luck and I'm sure she'll be fine, having a baby puts you under a lot of stress so she may just be imagining it. X

She sounds post natal! She's probably imagining things. But if she is still convinced then she'd be best to confront him as well as get tested for all sorts of sexually transmitted infections. Clearly if they have a baby, then at some point they have had unprotected sex so it's possible either she could have given him an infection or he could have given her one! Firstly, if he's been cheating then he's a rat, secondly if he has passed on this condition then he is a total b*******. Why don't you check what the symptoms are online and let her know.

HIV has very few symtons and if she is worried the only way she will know is to take a HIV test. If she is pregnant then she will be tested anyway but if she is trying to get pregnant the best way to know is to get them both tested and she can say that she wants to be sure that there is nothing they need to worry about. this is a very serious matter with no ifs or buts. if she feels she has been at risk she needs to get tested.

Go for an HIV test - that would be the most obvious thing to do for starters. Maybe hire a private detective to find out if he is cheating?

Yes you can catch HIV, and many other sexually transmitted deceases, if she thinks there may be a chance of this she should see a doctor, the sooner the better. She may have any other infection, of which there are several, that she did not pick up from her boyfriend, she should still see a doctor,!!!

If she thinks she has HIV she needs a test. If she has it, both him and the baby need testing. It can be caught if an infected person's blood gets into your own blood, and it may be transferrable by spit, not entirely sure now.

Blondy, their are no signs. You get tested and avoid any sexual contact until after the test - and remember AIDS is a killer. She can go to a clinic for Sexually transmitted diseaes or a urology clinic and get tested without seeing her own doctor. Get it done fast.

"Infection with HIV occurs by the transfer of blood, semen, vaginal fluid, or breast milk."

If she thinks she's infected, then she REALLY needs to get tested as soon as possible - taking into account that it can take up to ~six months for the antibodies to appear in the system.
