im using dvd decrypter and it says "device not ready (medium not present)" what's this mean and what do i do

ok the disc is in the drive, its a sony dvd-r 4.7gb, is dvd-r what i need

Hi. The medium is the DVD or blank DVD. Looks like the player/recorder is not finding the disk. Try a different disk or brand.

It means that it is not detecting the presence of a DVD. You've either forgotten to put it in your drive, or your drive/DVD is defective.

Usually it means you don't have a blank disc inserted in your recording drive.

it means it's not finding the disc you want it to decode.....
