A friend I have really likes me, but I don't like him as any more than a friend and doubt I ever will. I have already turned him down about 4 times in the past couple of weeks (more last year as well) and he knows I do not like him in the same way as he likes me. Still, he keeps acting like we're dating, although I have made it very clear to him that I am not interested. For instance, if he sees me, he will come over and put his arms around me and hang off me like that until I make him move, or leave. I think it may be going farther than it should. I am very comfortable with him as a friend, but i'm uncomfortable with anything else. I don't want to hurt his feelings, or lose his friendship, so how can I make my feelings, or lack thereof, get through to him so he will stop pressuring me like this.

just talk to him seriously. tell him that you don't want him bugging you like that. If he still wants to be immature about it, don't talk to him until he grows up.

A situation that I've been through on more than one occasion. I really think that you should sit him down and talk to him. Make it clear to him that while you appreciate and love him as a friend, your feelings don't run any deeper than just that. Friends. It may sound difficult, but perhaps the one-on-one conversation with eye contact and friendly smiles will knock it into his head. Make sure he realizes that what he's doing is pressure, and watch out, because it almost sounds like psuedo-stalking tendencies, and we all know that's not fun. Just sit him down and give him a friendly reminder that he's going too far, and you're NOT interested. Be firm, be strong, and don't let him shut you up. You have every right to not feel the same way about him as he feels about you.

Tell him the next time that he asks you out or makes a friendly move that could also be a move that a bf would make on his gf that ur not into him like that. Also tell him that if he cant get over you that he and you may need to be appart for a little while so that he can get over you. Then when hes over you you can be just friends

You are going to have to hurt his feelings a little. You are doing what you should by being honest. Sounds to me like he is taking advantage of your kindness. You need to tell him to stop friggen touching you. You don't wanna hug, hold hands, hang on eachother. He is crossing your personal boundaries. If he is actually your friend he will understand. If not he is just trying to get in your pants.

You've pretty much done the nice things to him. Maybe you need to be stern in the next couple of times that you have to tell him that you're not interested.

IF HE STOPPED WORSHIPPING YOU, YOU WOULD MISS HIM LIKE CRAZY. YOU ENJOY STRINGING HIM ALONG, WHICH IS WHY YOU HAVE NOT CUT HIM OFF CLEARLY YET. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL BE SORRY. BEST BET IS TO HANG OUT IN GROUP SETTINGS, AND HOPEFULLY HE WILL MEET SOMEONE WITHOUT YOUR URGING, HE MAY STILL SEE YOU AS A FRIEND THAT WAY.

I love you like a brother should work.

If that does not work kick him in the balls when he gets fresh and tell him once again "I love you like a brother.

Repeat above step until he figures it out or his nads are gone.
