I was born in Turkey, but my family is from North Ossetia. In Turkish, Good Morning is Gunaydin, and we use Merhaba when we see someone at any time of day or night. We say Good Day nearly always to say goodbye, and it is Iyi Gunler.
The pronunciation is a little bit different, as you have to read exactly as you see it. For example, iyi would be ee-y-ee for you :) The u sound is the one in "you", rather than the one in "hunt", and so on and so forth :)

From USA, live in south, Florida just shy of Alabama

here- no one gets as formal as to to say good mornin'. All us just sit back and pass the other sayin' "hey....how are ya'?" And avoid the whole time of day and official enounciated "gooood Mooooorneeng"
