Something that she's mentioned that she likes. It'll show that you were really listening and want to please her. Time together is also nice. Plan an outing and show that you have put lots of thought into it. It need not cost a lot, but will show that you really care.
And yes...flowers usually work well too!

3 Dozen different color long stem roses arrange in a vase. If you have the money, a diamond ring will be better. You can deliver those in a tuxedo where she work and she can kiss you. The element of surprise is always great......good luck!

Can you draw? If so draw her favorite thing or draw her.
Can you cook? Take her home and cook for her.
Just some thing that you can do or make. When you play a carnival game and win a teddy bear. Its not all ways the bears she likes its the fact you won it for her.

chococlate. i always say, "a dog is a man's best friend, but chocolate is a girl's" give it a try. after all, it is much cheaper than jewelery
