it reinforces a lot of people's brainwashed, mindless approach to life.

I woke up from religion to see what the world really is.
I have come to realize that we are changing and waking - a lot of us. But with those who are moving forward - there is an opposite reaction which is radical fundamentalism. I take heart at religious fundamentals because it means that we are moving forward.
A lot of the time I wish the rapture would come and whosh the 'believers' off the planet so the rest of us can get on with achievement.
Other times I think we might be a consciousness generation machine that periodically gets harvested for star ship fuel by another race. Wouldn't those 'believers' just crap once they found out they are just fuel for another.

I have been interested in religion all my life, and have looked at, and subjected myself to all sorts of attempted indoctrination, whilst keeping an open mind, for instance attending, and taking seriously, an alpha course.
How has it affected me? It's quite frightening what people can convince themselves is true, so it has made me sad.
Not to say that I've not met many genuine and good people whose religion is a great comfort to them, and I almost feel I'm missing out by not becoming part of a mob mentality, but only almost.

If you remove the impossible (religion), what remains, however improbable, must be the truth(Christ). ALL RELIGIONS ARE WRONG AND ONLY CHRIST IS RIGHT!
Thats what religion has done for me. It's a disease on the truth of Christ.

It has affected me a lot- or i should say God has affected me a lot. He helps us so much through our lives. He has forgiven me of every little and big sin, even though I don't deserve a drop of forgiveness. He is so loving and kind. He even lets us have eternal life with him if we believe.

My Catholic Faith has taught me how I should try to live and given me Eternal Life to look forward to. I don't know how people survive without religious beliefs. I think I'd go mad if I thought that this is all there is.

Jesus saved my life, He gives me peace and joy in my heart, and a secure future. He gives me comfort and security every day, no matter what kind of day it is. I know I am loved by Him and I can feel it, also that He is guarding my soul.
