the best way to wash your kitty the first time is to start off slow and make sure you have the water running slowly already and try not to frieghten it. talk genlty with the kitten and keep putting him back into the tub?wash area if he tries to escape, he may cry but don't give in and remember to be patient with him. Be sure that you rinse well the extra soap could cause skin irritations. If your kitten really fraks out try wrapping him in a small towle while bathing him. Just don't scream or hit him this will juat make him hate baths. If he crys it is OK he's just telling you he doen't like it. Don't get water in his face use a wash cloth to clean his face.

I have four cats. I find the easiest way to bathe them is to fill the bathtub with a little warm water (cats do not like cold water). Once the water is at the desired height, shut the water off. Running water normally scares them. Pick up the cat and gently set them in the water and block the area so they cannot jump out. Shampoo them, but not with too much soap as it will dry their skin and cause constant scratching.

If you have a shower head that you can hand spray with, use that. Otherwise, use a large glass or plastic cup and rinse the cat thoroughly. Next, use a couple of towels (its good to have warm towels fresh from the dryer) and dry the cat as much as you can. The cat will then groom themselves.

Make sure the cat is in a warm area since they get cold easily.

you can also wash a kitty of less than 2 month if he really needs to, but best is to wait at least 2 month of age
then you can put sweetly the kitty in your bathtub and caress him and speak him gently while you put gently lukewarm water on him but newer on the head, then put a bit of shapoo on the neck and always gentle frictionate him until all coverded with foam
after that you can rinse him
I have 2 persian cats and they have been teached to make bath since they were 1 month old and now they are 13 years old ^^

Do you have a VERY good reason to bathe your cat?

I have always had cats, and I have never bathed a single one of them!

They keep themselves very clean!
