Why do people insist that atheists "believe there is no God" or that atheism is a belief or philosophy? Atheists are waiting for theists to prove their claims, nothing more nor less.
When theists prove their claims, there will be no more atheists. Or, when theists stop making their claims, whichever comes first.
And if any of my fellow atheists would continue to assert "there is no God" if given credible evidence supporting God belief, please so state.

I've already had the "But I'm an agnostic" discussion here:

Agnostic is one of most useless words ever invented.
At least thumpers have the courage to state their beliefs. Agnostics are too cowardly to express their beliefs.

To Jim B.
Evolution can be thrown completely out the window and that does nothing to advance the claim that God exists.
I can assure you there is nothing you are going to type on your keyboard that is going to be considered credible evidence by me.

Whenever that 'proof' happens, it will be interesting.
I dont think there will be panic in the streets.
Personally I find the biblical view full of errors and cannot accept that GOD wrote it (via the human writers).
No god would be so innaccurate in some of what is in the book.
Inaccurate in locations/timelines,etc.

Hello JT. You stated that Atheists are waiting for Theists to prove their claims, nothing more nor less.
Well, sorry I can't prove it. Then you stated: that when Theists prove their claims, there will be no more Atheists. Or, when Theists stop making their claims, whichever comes first.
Well I have already stated that I can't prove anything. But========Just as soon as Jesus arrives, to gather His own, Christians won't need to make their claims any longer. You will be there and you will see for your self. There will still be Atheists because, if you have not chosen Jesus, you will be without God.

Mmm, well as the say, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. It would have to be more than simply credible for me. There would have to be a lot of it, or if not that, then what of it there was would have to be simply infallible. Like 1+1=2 kind of infallible. But they've been looking for thousands of years, and where there should be fountains of evidence for god, they've found nothing. Eventually, you just have to give up, and admit that it's not right.

The human mind is very extraordinary.
It operates on set frequency patterns called Extremely Low Frequencies.
They are Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta.
Beta= Normal waking state
Alpha = more relaxed, spacey state
Theta= dreams, deep thought, creativity, lucidity
Delta= deep dreamless sleep
At any time of the day, your brain is communicating in these sounds, sometimes overlapping.
Well, there have beem technological advances that have allow us to manipulate these patterns.
I will not explain it all here, but if you want to on your own, look up Hemi-Sync or Binaural Beats.
Well, now we have the ability to change our measurements of reality and use more of the brain in complete synchronization of both left and right hemispheres.
Now, the funny thing is this.
Sleep Paralysis and the brain.
An Alpha-Theta combo.
This also, is the hypnagogic state, which is the prime state of achieving an out of body exploration.
Might just seem like an hallucinatory experience to someone who hasn't done this, but it is very real.
Try it with a group of people. Need I say more.
How can everyone hallucinate together and have exact recall of each one's experience.
I'm not saying any religion is true, but this is real. If you are curious and really are sincere about wanting evidence, here it is.
Peace friend

What you are describing is an agnostic not an atheist. The word atheist is derived from the Greek: a(without)+theos(god), and refers to people who reject the existence of God out of hand, which does, in fact, make it a belief and/or a philosophy. Religion is founded on faith, which is acceptance of that which cannot be proven. If you choose to live without faith that is your choice, but if you don't want to be considered "someone who rejects the possibility of there being a God" by others, then you need to stop calling yourself one.

You ask a very complex question so forgive the lenght of the answer. One thing to keep in mind as I lay out this evidence, IT is evidence not proof. There is no proof. Thats ok because there is no proof of spontanious life generation either.. Ok here goes..
Materialists assume life arose spontaneously somewhere in ancient Earth's water supply – water which contained absolutely no life, just minerals and chemical substances used by living things.Because oxygen in the atmosphere would destroy all possibility of life arising by natural processes, materialists wrongly assumed the atmosphere had no oxygen. They also assumed it contained certain necessary ingredients, including ammonia, nitrogen, hydrogen, water vapor and methane. However, it is well known that mixing these ingredients does not create life. Therefore, materialists theorized something else must be needed – perhaps a bolt of energy. Dr. Stanley Miller and Dr. Sidney Fox were two of the first scientists to attempt laboratory experiments aimed at trying to prove that life could arise spontaneously. They designed a Pyrex apparatus containing methane, ammonia, and water vapor, but no oxygen. Through this mixture they passed electric sparks to simulate lightning strikes. What was the result? No life was produced, of course, but the electricity did combine some atoms to form amino acids.
amino acids: compounds that are the simplest units out of which proteins can be assembled. Did the Miller/Fox experiment prove that life could eventually have arisen in some ancient sea struck by lightning? No, their results actually weakened the case. The mixture of amino acids and other simple chemicals produced is not correct for producing life. All known life uses amino acids which are exclusively of the "left-handed" form. Left and right handed amino acids. Illustration copyrighted, Eden Communications. Left-handed molecules: a term used to refer to the "stereochemistry" of a molecule's construction; An amino acid can be chemically "left-handed" or "right-handed" in its orientation. These two forms are identical in their atoms, but opposite in their 3-dimensional arrangement. They are mirror images of each other. No known life can use any combination of both "right-handed" and "left-handed" amino acids. Adding even one "right-handed" amino acid to a chain of "left-handed" amino acids can destroy the entire chain! When amino acids are synthesized in the laboratory, there is always a 50% mixture of the two forms. Only through highly advanced, intelligently controlled processes can these two forms be separated. Even if this overwhelming obstacle did not exist, far greater problems remain for the production of life. There are numerous reasons why the amino acids would disintegrate or never form in the first place. Furthermore, life requires much more than amino acids. One necessity is proteins; another is a DNA code. DNA proteins: extremely complex chemicals (molecules) constructed of amino acids; found in all animals and plants. One chemist has calculated the immense odds against amino acids ever combining to form the necessary proteins by undirected means. He estimated the probability to be more than 10 to the 67th to 1 (1067:1) against even a small protein forming – by time and chance, in an ideal mixture of chemicals, in an ideal atmosphere, and given up to 100 billion years (an age 10 to 20 times greater than the supposed age of the Earth). Mathematicians generally agree that, statistically, any odds beyond 1 in 10 to the 50th (1:1050) have a zero probability of ever happening ("and even that gives it the benefit of the doubt!"). Various highly qualified researchers feel they have scientifically proved, beyond question, that the proteins needed for life could never have come into existence by chance or any natural processes. What did chemist Dr. Wilder-Smith conclude is the bottom line on this issue?
"It is emphatically the case that life could NOT arise spontaneously in a primeval soup of this kind." At that moment, when the RNA/DNA system became understood, the debate between Evolutionists and Creationists should have come to a screeching halt.
(I.L. Cohen)
Ok That's one peice of evidence. I am sorry it's so long. It os also a bit scientificlly complex but I am sure that you being a very inteligent athiest can understand it because my silly stupid christian mind was able to understand without someone helping me with the "big" words :) Jim

Shelley wrote an interesting poem from the perspective of a believer, but with a twist. It's called "Queen Mab".
< ... 'I was an infant when my mother went
To see an atheist burned. She took me there.
The dark-robed priests were met around the pile;
The multitude was gazing silently;
And as the culprit passed with dauntless mien,
Tempered disdain in his unaltering eye,
Mixed with a quiet smile, shone calmly forth;
The thirsty fire crept round his manly limbs;
His resolute eyes were scorched to blindness soon;
His death-pang rent my heart! the insensate mob
Uttered a cry of triumph, and I wept.
"Weep not, child!" cried my mother, "for that man
Has said, There is no God."' ...>
An excerpt confronting Jesus on the cross:
<'O Spirit! centuries have set their seal
On this heart of many wounds, and loaded brain,
Since the Incarnate came; humbly he came,
Veiling his horrible Godhead in the shape
Of man, scorned by the world, his name unheard
Save by the rabble of his native town,
Even as a parish demagogue. He led
The crowd; he taught them justice, truth and peace,
In semblance; but he lit within their souls
The quenchless flames of zeal, and blessed the sword
He brought on earth to satiate with the blood
Of truth and freedom his malignant soul
At length his mortal frame was led to death.
I stood beside him; on the torturing cross
No pain assailed his unterrestrial sense;
And yet he groaned. Indignantly I summed
The massacres and miseries which his name
Had sanctioned in my country, and I cried,
"Go! go!" in mockery.
A smile of godlike malice reillumined
His fading lineaments. "I go," he cried,
"But thou shalt wander o'er the unquiet earth
Eternally." The dampness of the grave
Bathed my imperishable front. I fell,
And long lay tranced upon the charmèd soil.
When I awoke hell burned within my brain
Which staggered on its seat; for all around
The mouldering relics of my kindred lay,
Even as the Almighty's ire arrested them,
And in their various attitudes of death
My murdered children's mute and eyeless skulls
Glared ghastily upon me. ...>
I love this poem.

If you were honestly waiting to hear the truth, then you would listen to us and at least consider what we say, instead of rejecting it outright. But since you are spiritually deaf, you don't hear what we've said. You will not hear the truth until either you believe and repent, or until you find yourself standing before Him after you've died.
I wish you "luck" in your search.
