I really don't like it because everybody in school would be calling him gay and he'd get beat up and such and I don't want to deal with that. Should I lay my foot down and tell the woman who's in charge?

Sure, put your foot down, and say you my wife will not name my son Gaylord or I will have my other wives beat you up.

First of all I think that is not a cool idea try telling her how you feel about that name and tell her a few other options if she does not listen why are you married to her if she does not care about your opinion and ideas. Also what the heck do you mean when you say "One of my wives" that is either plural meaning you have more than one or just yah I think it is the first one.

suggest other names until she finds another one she likes...point out to her that he might be made fun of at school. Don't make it seem like shes stupid and "show her who's in charge" just talk it over and see if theres another name that you both like.
