Don't walk through my screen door !?

Question

My kids keep walking through my screen door ! I use to know where to get butterflies that you add to the screen , so that they would know there was a screen there ! But now were can I find them ? Or what should I do ?

You could probably make your own butterflies then attach them to the screen either with double sided tape or floral wire that you can secure in a safe way so no one gets "stabbed". I use to make the butterflies with 2 coarse open-weave placemats; pinch each placemat in the middle then attach both with whatever you want (wire, string, rubberbands). Use pipecleaners for the antenna and decorate to your liking. Have fun!

You don't have to use something purchased. You can draw/paint some butterflies or flowers in simple shapes with paint on the screen. Make sure your brush is wiped off so you don't close too many holes and go for it. Have the kids help you, it's a good reminder. And make them slow down. They must be moving pretty fast to go through the screen. If they have to pay something for the screen everytime you replace it, they'll learn in a hurry!

If you have a heavy door and a screen door. Keep the screen open and the heavy one shut. That way, they can't walk through the screen door.

I did that as a kid my self.
Try stickers or tape on both sides of the screen, and put it at their eye level just so that they can see something there and then realize that its the screen. You could also try to weave some bright yarn in the screen, anything just to make the screen more visable.
