I really like this girl but she doesn't believe in that girlfriends should be disciplined when they do something wrong. In the past I have always dated girls who believed in domestic discipline where if a woman gets an attitude or does something wrong the man has the right to spank her or give her corner time. In my experiences this is necessary because women seem to act like children sometimes and there needs to be some form of discipline to correct this behavior. I realize that when women's hormones aren't in check, they can get out of line sometimes. With g/f's in the past I could just give them "the look" and they knew I could back it up later so they cut out the attitude. This woman says she believes the man should be head of the household but in my experience, that and 3 dollars will get you a cup of coffee. Can a relationship really be healthy without domestic discipline?

A relationship is 50/50 a partnership just beacause the man primarily makes all of the decisions does not give him the right to treat his partner like a child, if she is old enough to sleep with you shes old enough to make her own decisions, no matter if you think they are wrong or right she has the right to be her own person not the person you think she should be.(this is the usa we are free people) The bottom line is the only way you will ever have a healthy realtionship is if you change your way of thinking.

If this is a serious question, then isn't is really just "Is it okay to hit my girlfriend?" And the answer to that is a resounding NO. If however, this is actually a question about sexuality then it is different. Sexual role playing with the consent of both parties and established parameters is healthy. However, most women in 2006 would find this arrangement ridiculous. If that is the type of relationship he truly wants then he must find a woman who wants the same, not force his beliefs on someone who doesn't share them.

In my experience respect makes a relationship work. perhaps in the past you were lucky enough to find a girl that respected you even though you showed her such disrespect.

I don't really think there are any healthy relationships. You should definately not date a woman who doesn't agree with you on discipline, it wouldn't work and it wouldn't be fair for either of you to change. I once tried to be in a relationship with a Dom, and it didn't work out. Sometimes Love isn't enough.

WHOA. By "discipline" I take it you mean physical abuse. NO ONE has a right (male OR female) to keep someone else "in check" by physically hurting them. In your experience, you think that males should be dominating over females. But just because you are "in charge" it doesn't mean you need to treat your girlfriend like a dog or a child. The woman should know that she can find better than you and drop you as fast as she can.
