it def is, not only can you charge 5 bucks a head and make your money back, but a keg is usually 50-70 bucks and a half barrel holds 7 cases or 210 beers. 7 cases would run you like 140 dollars easy

Kegs are definitely cheaper as long as everyone drinks the same beer or probably in your case it probably doesn't matter as long as it's beer. Keg are available in 1/2 kegs and 1/4 kegs as well so the prices differ. Just call your local distributor and they can tell you how much each one will cost and how many cases the one you want is equal too. You'll also have to pay a deposit and rent a tap. You could consider a beer ball as well.

Beer on tap is much cheaper per glass than by the can or bottle. A keg is a lot of beer, so you'll need 30 or so hearty drinkers to finish off that bad boy. You don't want to waste 1/2 a keg or so. You'll want to buy a big tub to put ice in to keep the keg cold.

usually you put a substantial deposite down on the keg that you get back after you return it, around $100. The beer itself is usually way cheaper and better quality than if you buy it in cans. Last time I bought a keg it was around $65, and that was for microbrew beer which is generally more expensive than the normal macrobrew shiite. But thats a matter of taste.

how many guests? if not many but enough, just get half a keg..some people dont like kegs..the plus about cans is that there can be a variety of beers..but i'd still pick the keg over the cans because of less clean up.

Usually $65 for domestic. I think imports are about $95 and up. And it is worth it to buy a keg rather than a bunch of cases because you get more booze for your buck.

If you can score a half keg, it'll cost you some where between 50 and 75 bucks depending on where you get it, but you will save money. And you're not going to have to pick all of those empty cans and bottles up the next day when you're all hung over! If you don't manage to drink it all the first night, you can throw it in your car and drive around getting all of your buds buzzed the next day!

the keg can be cheaper, but with cans you dont have to worry about a half filled keg at the end of the night.
