First Impressions?

Ok, I make a really bad first impression, in clubs, on dates, can anybody give me any tips on how to make a good one?

I have never given a good first impression to anyone who became a good friend.
I have learnt that you should never judge by first impressions, I always give someone a second chance. But at the end of the day you have to call it like you see it.
You should BE YOURSELF, give it time. Clubs, pubs and dates can be pressurised environments.
Why not be up front and just say how your feeling? If your nervous say your nervous, if you give a bad impression just say " bear with me, I don't always give great first impressions"
If you keep getting to know someone you WILL GET BEYOND A FIRST IMPRESSION.
Give it time!!

Well, you say your first impression is always bad, so why don't you look at it like nothing at all? If you're confident enough of yourself in all the other things you do daily, then be that same person. Don't worry about impressing someone. If they like you, they like you. If they don't, then that's their loss.

Take a shower, brush you teeth, put some perfume on, talk like a lady, wear the latest fashion, do ur hair, use ur make up, listen to the ppl, be open minded, l think these are definately a plus!

first of all all mature men know what types are in clubs bars looking for love or relations. thats ur first bad move. i mean but other than that whether its friends / finding love / men. just keep it quiet remain calm, not loud, downtoearth and fun dont be stressed nor laugh at everything they say or act immature+ dont dress like youve been around the block if you know what i mean

I recommend reading the book, "How to be Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. The entire book is devoted to being a good friend, making good impressions, how to win people to your way of thinking, etc. It is very detailed and is sure to help you.

just be nice/friendly to everyone
smile
dont just sit their in the corner..move around
dont dance funny/weird (going to a club)
brush your teeth before you go to a date, bring gum with you, wear makeup, nice clothes, have good smelling hair, wear perfume but not too much, dont look greasy so shower lol
stand up straight
dont pout
dont be nervous
be outgoing
and have fun

Rachel, if youre a girl you don't need to worry about impressions. You have two impressions on your chest....that's all most guys care about. You have a third impression that they really want to get to know. Just be yourself. It WILL happen, even if i have to come over and do it myself.

if your trying to impress forget it.. your better of being yourself..if they dont like you for yourself then there is no point

if its a man that you like do the killer flirt move. you catch thier eye for a little longer than usual, slowly look up and down then at their face a smile. do not smoke. do not drink till your passing out and dont say things if you dont mean it.
