I have not had any sucess yet and I wonder if this is just a cyber night club. I do not go out much so I am still seeing if this is the way for me to meet the right one.

It can. But be wary some people lie about things or downplay them. Make sure you have sufficient evidence on what they look like and if desired...meet them face to face in a public venue. A lot of people will tell you that internet dating is taboo and rampant with evil people. Not true. Really internet dating is just another medium for people to meet. Unfortunately, it does attract more of the social "rejects" if you will. But just like meeting people at bars and what not, you still have to comb through a bunch of trash to get to that gold. Take the risk and see what happens. If that doesn't work, try something else.

I met my husband on hotornot.com and we've been married for 4 years now, we have a daughter together and are trying to get pregnant with our second child. But I had a string of bad relationships that just didn't work before I met him. Just hang in there, and don't give up totally. Sometimes love happens when you least expect it. I had just gotten out of a long term relationship and decided I was ready to date again but wanted to casually date and play the field when I met my hubby. He insisted that night after our first date was over he had to have my commitment right then and there or he wouldn't be happy. I finally caved and look where it got me.

This depends on the individual ----> you. I met my husband on ICQ. :) He's my totally best friend. We don't go anywhere without eachother. I was just checking one day to see who was online in my area. There was this guy, so I said hello to him and he replied back hello. We chatted for awhile and he asked me out on a date, (during the day). I accepted, and I happen to luck out with a perfect gentleman. We lived together for 5 years, and have been married going on 2 years now. We're more in love than we ever have been.
Just be careful, there are alot of scammers out there, above all trust your instinct; you don't owe anyone anything.

It did for me and my wife... We met online. At the time we were living in different countries. I was in London and she was in Chicago. We met on Yahoo Personals on January 15, 2004 and by January 21st of that year I had moved to Chicago and we were living together and happily married. We're still blissfully happily married to this day. Internet dating can be fantastic....

It worked for me. I had a profile on a dating site. Met my husband that way. We were very compatible. Married less than a month after we met in person.
