Most Christians believe in Evolution, Just like Most Christians believe the earth revolves around the sun. Those who deny reality belong to the lunatic fringe, which gives the rest of christians a bad name, and makes the religion as a whole look moronic and supersitious.

It can not and does not. Christianity is based off of a 2000 year old book, a book that never changes, because it is just a book. The universe is always changing, science is the tool that we used to observe the universe, so the things that we find out about the universe will always be subject to change, as our understanding of the universe because more elaborate. Religion should never take it upon it self to explain the natural laws of the universe because religion is based off of faith, a state of mind that requires no facts. Facts are what we need to exist and function in our physical universe, religion can not help us do this, it can only spout morality and even this is suspect if one were to really read the Bible and not just the parts that they like are were told to. You know what is right and wrong, not because it was some instinct that God put into us, but because it is apart of our social upbringing, children learn what is right and wrong. The only true instinct a human being has when they are born is the instinct to cry, all other things are learned, that is a fact sorry all of you Christians out there, but God did not put a right and wrong instinct into you, if he did then there would be no such thing as free will. As far as evolution, well these things have been found; the bones of our ancestors, just as the books of the Bible where found. The big difference is that you can not fake bones, but you can fake a book.

A living cell is so awesomely complex that it's interdependent components stagger the imagination and defy evolutionary explanations.A minimal cell contains over 6o.ooo proteins of 100 different configurations. The chance of this assemblage occurring by chance is 1 in 104,478,296.I went to Michigan university to watch a creationist the had an offer to all science evolutionists of 250,000 dollars to any one that can prove him wrong he has never been wrong. He still has the money.....oh and if they really had proof that these fossils were ape-men evolution would be a scientific Law not a theory, evolutionists just wont let go of there faith.Read the Bible to know how it happend.

The explanation is that both are true.
Creation in the Bible is described as something out of nothingness, based on God's word, and different stages (days) having different events. The creation of the planet, the skies and earth, the animals, finally, humans. Science's theory is "Big Bang" which is something out of (almost) nothingness, then the stuff cools and starts forming suns and planets, which then develop atmospheres, and all of that somehow leads to primitive life that evolves to humans.
If God is eternal, does he have a concept of "day" in the same way we have? Does He count days by Earth time, or by Saturn time? Would he even care? For a book of faith, not science, the primitive authors did a pretty good job of being consistent with the theories develop through science thousands of years later.

Let me explain this to you as simply as I can. It is a very deep and expansive subject.
In Genisis, there were a few "days" that went by before God created the sun and moon, which give us the 24 hour days. Yet he called the evening and the morning the FIRST day (with no sun or moon). Therefore, as He states later in scripture, that a day is like a thoussand years, I believe the earth is billions of years old just like the scientist prove. In addition, also in Genisis, read it for yourself, it states, "Let the earth bring forth... and let the waters bring forth the fowl of the air ..." This looks like evolution to me.
Now as far as man goes, only Adam was created by God, about 6000 yrs ago. Everyone else probably evolved as well. However, there is only one race of people who came out of Adam. Show me two Chinese that can produce a black child. There's no way that all races came out of one seed line. The Hebrew meaning of "Adam" or Adom is to be ruddy complected, to show color in the face, to blush. Look it up for yourself. You can surmise the rest for yourself as to who his decendents are. (Christ's lineage is traced back to Adam in scripture and He is refered to as the second Adam.)
This is, as I stated, is a most simplified version, just the slightest fraction of information to a vast explanation. Hope it helps. I'm sure it will cause some controversy on here. Please know that upsetting people is not my intension.
PS You won't find these beliefs in any church of any denomination. If you did, I'd like to know where! Take it for what it's worth and read about the creation once more in light of what I've said here. A Strongs Concordance would help with definitions.

God made kinds of animals...plants..insects...fish...they all remain within their kinds. Thankfully we can reason on things and not JumP the big Gap....of kinds from Monkeys /ape to ......Wise speaking humans. Talent thinking reason...how many monkeys and apes are building space shuttles? I say it this way.....It takes more faith to believe in evolution than Creation. So it is not the Christian faith on trial it is the Evolution theories on trial.
There are way to many facts and odds in favor of Creation by design than Evolution by chance.
Read the reference book below and find out the real odds are all in favor of design...not chance

The latest issue of scientific American has a very good article explaining how evolution and religion are not incompatible. Evolutionary theory does a very good job of explaining why we are moral and religious to begin with. maybe the creationist and christian fundamentalist should take a step back and look at things from a larger perspective.

I am a Christian and believe that people have adapted over time. Changed in certain ways that some may classify as evolution. Don't misunderstand however, I do not believe we have evolved from monkeys- but I believe the human body has adapted to its surroundings.

Christian theologian William Paley tried to prove the existence of God through something called the Teleological Argument, and can be called the design argument. He basically said that life is too complicated for us not to be designed, and that our designer must be God. Long story short Charles Darwin and Richard Dwarkins (dunno if that's spelt right) said that we evolved and were not designed. We survive through passing on our genes and DNA to our children so we become stronger and survive longer.
Christians pulled these two ideas together and said that God deigned us to evolve as individuals, through natural selection and survival of the fittest. So Christians and Theologians say God designed us to evolve. Hope that answered your question.
