I asked a question about Wiccans before, but I didn't do it right. The time ran out before I picked a best answer. It also didn't give me a chance to finish the expirement I was conducting. I was at school when it ended. Sorry, Yahoo Answers is still new to me. :P

I know Wiccans all say they can read crystal balls and tell fortunes and cast spells, so I want to test it. I am going to stare at an object again for 5 minutes. I will do this every night for three nights at 6 o'clock. Now you know when to do it. If you can tell me what it is, I will give you credit. You say you can tell fortunes with things like weegee boards, fire, cards, and I even read how you make a magic mirror with ink in a bowl of water to see things. So you should be able to do this. It's a simple object.

My teacher said I need a control group so I would like some people who are not witches to see if they can guess it (sorry I didn't ask that before).

OK, what is it?

Test ends in 3 days.

OK< this is just for the Wiccans that actually have psychic power.

And if you can't do magic, then you're not a witch. I think some of you need to buy a dictionary and look up the word witchcraft. It means magic.

LOL! And no it's not porn. No one's got it right. And Justin Timberlake ROCKS! I haven't gotten any facts wrong. The Magic Power of White Witchcraft says witches can make a magic mirror and see things. So put up or shut up.

So I take it that means you are a fake Pagan Poet?

2006-09-21 12:09:07 · update #3

LOL! The test isn't meant to embarass any of you. I said it was for Wiccans that CLAIMED to have these powers, and I spent all day Saturday at Barnes and Nobles reading books on witchcraft. So don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.

And no, I'm not in over my head, and I won't be bullied into removing this test. I hate bullies.

Loresinger, since you have 500 hours, what is it?

bgdadyp, do all Wiccans always insult Christians? It certainly seems like it from what I read on Yahoo Answers. And no, it wasn't a clock hand. Guess you don't have any powers either.

chris j, if you can't do it, then don't take the test.

For those of you who say you've been in Wicca for so long, you should be able to prove it by a simple test, shouldn't you? I wasn't trying to become an expert in Wicca by reading some books, but I do know something about it now. For one thing I've learned how arrogant some of you are. It's easy to go on the internet and just pretend to be a witch, but it's harder to prove it.

I met some wiccans and I was curious about what thy believe. I tell you what I found out. To me wicca seems like just an excuse to have wierd sex, and not much else.

There are some wiccans that opened a witchcraft store not far from where I live right on highway 27 near Lake Placid in Florida. For some reason, it has a big plastic purple octopus out front. I don't know what that has to do with thier religion, I guess it's for decoration. If you ask anyone in Lake Placid, they can tell you where it is. It's called the Green Man. I went in to see what it was like. It was scary! They had a human skeleton hanging up on the wall. They had one of those dry ice things that made fog(it was for sale). There was all kinds of bottles of potions and books on the occult. They had all kinds of weird sculpchures of dragons and weird idols. They had was a monster head with a nazi helmet on it. Who would want such a weird thing? I asked the guy and he said some people like them for decorating their house. The guy was skinny and looked kinda scraggly. The girl was pale and could have both used a bath. They dont let you take pictures of the place, I guess their afraid people will see what they got in there.

I didnt stay real long after I saw the skeleton! It could have been fake, but it sure looked real. I didn't ask them how they got it. I don't care what they say, it's black magic! What do they need a skeleton for? And they had copies of the Satanic Bible for sale in their too, I thought they didn't believe black magic. Why do they sell it for then? So I did some research of my own :

Triumph of the Moon was a good book too. I checked it out at the library. I'm still reading it. It is really something the things people will make up. Wiccans say they go back thousands of years, but they don't. All they want to do is pretend their witches. They are not white witches, they are just perverts. Nobody's going to be able to read your mind either. LOL! You are a very smart young girl! It's all an excuse to have wierd sex. I hope more wiccans don't move into our county. Last year we had two churches burned by arson, and I don't think its a coincidence. I think it's drawing in the wrong kind of people because it's never happened before here. I know I could be wrong. Sorry if that makes somebody mad, but thats just what I think.

You would think people that use "magical psychic powers" would jump at the chance to test them. Wiccans are always saying how they can develop all these psychic powers.

Meganangel, I see you discovered at this point in your test that Wiccans enjoy the label of witch and like to think they practice witchcraft, but they don't want to have to prove it. Even a schoolgirl's harmless test sends them into a panic! LOL! There was another girl your age that debunked a bunch of Reki Masters a few years ago. She set up a simple test not unlike yours. The Rekis were quite stunned when they didn't pass.

And you've also discovered that despite the talk about peace and love and tolerance of other religions that Wiccans hate Christians. When they're on the internet they don't have to pretend so much because of the anonymity it affords them.

Some of them obviously assumed you were a Christian, even though you never said so, and couldn't resist a few digs at Christians to try to get back at you for something harmless. So much for "An' It Harm None". When I was a Wiccan I didn't like Christianity much either. A lot of it has to do with the muddled and revised views of history they subcribe to, and some have hurt feelings and bad expirences with Christians in the past that they allow to fester.

Occult bookstores often sell items involved in black magic. Even though Wiccans and Neopagans who sell these items may not use these items themselves, they are still promoting black magic and profiting from it by offering these items for sale, which makes the hypocrites.

I'll be part of the control group, and I'll just make a wild guess. I'll say the object was a stuffed animal. Let me know what prize I get if I win. LOL!

ROTFLMFAO! Oh Goddess, Wiccans! Could you BE anymore anal retentive??? It's just a test on Yahoo Answers people, it's not the freaking Spanish Inquisition!!! HELLLLLOOOO? CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A REALITY CHECK??? It's just a girl doing her homework, chill. LOL!

In a way you're right Meganangel. Witches do have intuition, which means we can sense what others are thinking and feeling (at least to some degree). Suddenly everyone seems to have forgotten that. How convienient! LOL!

What you ask requires a great amount of psychic ability, and even though every one has it to some degree, I don't think many people have that much (apparently none of the bunnies who answered you did). I will try...even though I know I may fail this test that the very existence of Wicca depends on! LOL!!! Wiccans have zero sense of humor about anything anymore. Everything is so damn serious.

Sure, I'll try your test Honey. I have a large quartz crystal ball I use for scrying. The thing I see is a bag of preztles. Is that it?

Blessed Be!

[Edit: Please Bunnies, more thumbs down!]

There is a flaw in your experiment. Not all Wiccans say they can read crystal balls and tell fortunes. The different techniques of divination you have listed are not practiced by all. Some don't even practice divination.

Blessings )O(

EDIT: Reading one book does not an expert make. You are way over your head on this one. Why not make a graceful exit and we will forget this embarrassing episode.

And I will say again, you are making an embarrassment of yourself. Reading more than one book does not mean you know anything. It means you have read a few books from Goddess only knows what sources. Anyone can write a book and get it published. Most Witches do not feel a need to perform parlor tricks on demand, especially for the entertainment of a child. Many of us have been practicing this religion/path longer than you have been alive.
Good luck with your experiment. Maybe you should do some research on how to conduct an experiment with a control group.

First just because one is a witch doesn't necessarily mean you're psychic. Second, most people will tell you that in person readings are far more accurate than anything else. Third, the cards etc. are simply a media, a good psychic should be able to do work without the "gee gaws". Fourth a psychic should not have to ask what your question is -- that can skew the outcome of a reading. I know you didn't exactly ask this but I think it's important to speak about the ethics of psychism not simply the flash and fanfare some someone guessing something correctly.

Now when you stare at your object bear in mind that your eyes see more than just that item. So a psychic can pick up residuals from the room in which you're in, the color of a surface behind the object, etc. Keep that in mind as you get answers.

I am a Celtic pagan. Not a Wiccan.

first off. the knowlege that we can recieve about the POSSIBLE future, is based on the energies that surround YOU. if you are not present then no reading can happen.

I can not read your mind,

Not all Wiccans claim to be able to read tarot, or see in a crystal.

You read a few books and think that you understand their religion and practices.and god knows which books that you read, there is a lot of rubbish out there.

i do not read tarot, i do not see the future in a crystal ball. these are not my gifts. I am a Spiritual Cleanser (exorcist) I clean up the mess caused by people that dabble and people that play with Oujia Boards without knowing how to seal them afterwards.

however if you want a test, find yourself a good tarot reader.
probally one that does not charge for readings, and someone that is an adult that has some experience. and get them to do a reading for you. my wife does such readings, and people leave our house and never come back, simply because she tells them things about their past that they have not told their own wives and husbands. and goes into the POSSIBLE future and what will happen if they stay on their present course. and it SCARES the S**T out of them.

Not all Pagans are Wiccan, and not all Wiccans are Witches.

kind of like not all Catholics are priest's and not all Priest's are Pedophiles.

i don't know where your getting your information from but wiccans and witches don't claim to read crystal balls or tell fortunes. we do cast spells. you are thinking of Gypsy's and the like. please get your information right before you start trying to experiment with that which you do not understand.
and by the way ... any true wiccan or witch will not lower themselves to cheap parlor tricks just to prove something to you that we believe. that would be the Christians.

but just for fun it would be the minute hand on your watch or clock

It doesn't work that way. You obviously have very little, in any, knowledge of Wicca or any related belief. I believe you are just posting this to belittle and discredit Wiccans.....shame on you.

Edit: I am not a "fake". That would imply that my beliefs are fake which they are not. You watch way too much TV. What do you think we are all like what you see in "Charmed" or "The Craft". Grow up. You spent one DAY at Barnes and Nobles and now think you know everything there is to know about Wicca? Typical teenager.....you "skim" through (your words) a couple of books, and we can only guess which ones, and suddenly you become an expert. Let me bow down to your superior knowledge in my religion. How naive of you. You have barely scratched the surface of what Wicca is and what it means to be Wiccan or Pagan. I have been Pagan for 13 years kiddo. I think I might know a little more than you.

Wiccans can't do anything. But when they "cast a spell" or something, demons take advantage of that and do things, so it only seems like it's the spell that's doing whatever. Wiccans don't have the power to do those things, the devil does. But christians have the power of God which is greater than any kind of evil.
And there is no such thing as a good witch. Any and every kind of Wicca is evil.
Remember.
