I've looked them up and it seems very interesting. To see christianity from the eyes of thoses who were actually there hearing Jesus speak. To not call them mystics is a great folly.
If you want a deeper question regarding this I will ask you this.
How would it feel for you to see your life as it was god with you eternally in the now, and seeing your creations from intense focus from a multitude of persons gathering the knowledge and experience god is using to understand god him/herself?

Saint John of the Cross and St. Bonaventure (The Minds Road to God ) are excellent.

David Tibet, who essentially is the driving force behind Current 93 (a band I really like) is deeply into Christian mysticism. I've checked out certain parts of it, but it's hard to find factual, valuable material.

While these people are sitting around contemplating the universe God's blessings are passing them by. God intends for his children to WORK in his kingdom, not lie around in a stupor. There are souls to be witnessed to, people to be fed and clothed, broken hearts to be healed and bodies that need fixing. God uses his children to do all these things and that is why we are commanded to work in his service. Sitting in the middle of a room on a pillow and gazing into nothingness is not God's work---it is the devil fooling Christians into believing that they are growing spiritually. the only way to grow spiritually is to do God's work and that means getting off your duff and doing something physical that benefits the kingdom of heaven. Jesus loves you.
