This is what he's trying to say:
"The ends justify the means" is a phrase encompassing two beliefs:
1.Morally wrong actions are sometimes necessary to achieve morally right outcomes.
2.Actions can only be considered morally right or wrong by virtue of the morality of the outcome.
My input on this: No, i don't believe this. When someone does something moral, they do it NOT because they did something morally wrong before. That doesnt make any sense.

If you have to do anything along the way that is immoral and against the will of God, you are not trusting God.
Lying, cheating, stealing, violence, enacting vengence etc. are all wrong because they are all attempts to take control away from God and put it into your own hands.
I find that if you let go and trust God with your life, he finds a way to work things out better than you ever could.
