If one is truly grounded in their Faith would it not stand to reason that no other belief would offend you. For example, I myself could'nt care less if I see a display of false idols by Muslims, Krishnas, Buddhists, Satanists, Etc.
For I see them for what they are, therefore though I pray for the souls of the decieved their practices have no effect upon me.
This is why when Christ is portrayed in a negative way I am not taking to the streets violently protesting. I am assured through my relationship with God that He is Greater than any of this.
Therefore does violent responses among observers of a Faith not show a lack of Faith in their Beliefs?

Truth is always open to scrutiny,
But truth is never open to mutiny.

Whatsoever is "not of faith" is sin: Romans 14:23
The law is "not of faith": Gal 3:12(unto the churches)

The "grace" of our Lord J->C with you->all. Amen.

Right on target!

I am agnostic, and though I am searching, I do believe in God. I see God as peace, kindness and love.

I view the various religions as pathways to get there. I believe the faithful of each religion will find their way to God and I focus on being the best person I can be so I can join them.

And hey - if I'm wrong so what? At least I was kind and loving to people while I was here. If this is all we have, then even more reason to reach out to others with love and understanding.

It doesn't bug me what people think... As long as they don't blow me up or hit me.

I completely agree with you. We are taught to accept persecution, even violence, joyfully and without retaliation because we are then able to share a little of what Christ went through.

In any case, if we believe in an Almighty God, isn't He able to defend Himself if He needs to? What right do we have to attack someone in God's name when He chooses not to?

Love All, Forgive All, Show Mercy, Judge No-One. I was very concerned when local churches in Milton Keynes were planning to demonstrate against Jerry Springer The Opera. I was very pleased, however, to discover that instead of ranting and raving, they had a worship meeting outside the theatre. The protest was handled in a positive way and impressed the theatre goers more than placards would have.

Other religions offend me, because they go against the fundamental's of Christianity. There can not be many 'truths'. There is one 'truth' and that is that God sent His Son Jesus to die and take the punishment which you and I deserve. When others' try and work their way to Heaven, but 'good works' only, then it is an insult to the death of Jesus Christ.

It is by GRACE to are saved, through FAITH not of works, lest any man should boast.

Whatever offends God, offends me!

Don't let my meekness be mistaken for weakness. I have put on the full armor of God that I may stand against the wiles of the Devil. Aggressive? No! Meek? Yes! Worshipful? Yes! Respectful? Always. Prayerful? Most definitely! Want to force others to my way of beliefs? NO! Believe that God reaches people in many different ways? Yes! Believe that we can be Christian through the law or forced through some sort of fear and domination or threats or the threat of death? Absolutely NOT! No one person this side of heaven can force another to follow Christ. Christ alone paid the ultimate price that everyone could accept the gift of his salvation, and they must choose this day whom they will serve, God or man. It is not up to any of us to force them to make that decision. Anyone who does that is not following Christ, but is following a doctrine of evil. Too many human made cults hide and profess to be religions, but nothing like that could be following the Way, the Truth, and the Light.

Oh, certain. Believing in God makes a huge difference in each little way (so does believing He does no longer exist). Having faith in Him lightens our burdens. desire, they say, is a few thing we supply ourselves. Hoping for most stuff facilitates us to carry on, even if we sense like giving up.
