Marilyn is usually regarded as illegitimate, but there is some doubt, see her wiki article. Wiki also lists Eric Clapton, Fidel Castro and Oprah Winfrey, among others.
History wouldn't be as much fun without the Borgias or William the Conquerer, would it?

The Borgia's and William the Conqueror we could have done without, I hadn't heard that about Marilyn Monroe. If you believe in the Christian faith Mary didn't have extra-marital relations, that is why it's called a Virgin Birth.

YES! And the world would be a lot better off if Jesus had never been born. then we wouldn't have all those Jesus freaks trying to force their religious beliefs on us.

true on all but the first. there are some things we will never understand, it's a God-thing. i'd like to ask God that question in heaven, but by then i won't be able to answer you. why don't you read Luke chapter 2 ?

im not sure about this... but i think mary was some kind of jewish nun. so she was, in that way, married to God.
