73 days, by Kieran Doherty during the 1981 Irish hunger strike, who died from it. There was a bunch of other protesters who died from self-imposed starvation. Check out the link below.

The longest I've gone without food is 2 weeks, just water. During a crazy time in college when I thought this was the best way to lose weight. Don't recommend it.

You can live for up to 60 days without food, but only about 4 or 5 days without water.

Well, from the answers the range seems quite varied, so I would guess the more 'stored energy' on your body, the longer you'll be able to live without eating.
The first thing I thought of from this question was '40 days and 40 nights' from the Bible....

Me? Not eat? Hmmmm i had to of been very ill with the stomach flu for that to happen. At most, i'm guessing 2 days is my max of not eating. That's even stretching it.

But you can't go more than a few days without *water*...

i read on the internet 15 days but anorexic people live for a wile.
