Rather sadly... no.
I'm engaged, and another girl likes me. To the extent that she stalks me, which is obviously a bit annoying.The dammed girl depends on me and I barely know her. She thinks I'm "the one". Although it's a bit more extreme than what you meant.

it depends on if the other person likes you just as much. If they don't then it isn't a good thing.
