We all know that some guys just really don't like the telephone. So, my question is directed to the guys who would much rather text or email than talk on the phone...
Would you actually call a girl if you liked her? or would you always wait for her to call you first?

Text messages and emails appear to be safer to most people because they have time to compose their thoughts and they are not going to get an instant response. I understand this but I also know that if I really like someone I am going to have to call her. That is the only way to be sure that something will happen.

I really dont like using the phone, but I would always phone the girl 1st rather than waiting for her to call me. In any form of a guy -girl relationship it should be the guy that takes the lead regardless of wether he is comfortable doing it or not. There is obviously nothing wrong with a girl phoning me, but it must not be to ask me out! Hope this helps.

THere's the 3 day rule, ie you wait 3 days before calling, but to be honest thats a bit crap because most girls know it and so it just looks lame. If I like a girl I'd prob send them a text the next morning sayin that I had a good time the night before and that I'll ring them (then say the day and rough time ie evening). Then actually call at that time.

most of the time ladies want you to call and then do all the talking and when you run out of thing to say it ummm...you still there
i dont mind texting or the phone as long as thier a two way about it i just dont like to have tooooo long a conversation

Oh lord...I date a man who hates to talk on the phone....with anyone!.....but since we started dating...he now calls me more...almost every night we are not together....even if the call only lasts a min or two...because of this...I know he misses and very much likes me...smiles

That's a good one. I'm not sure I'd want to give the impression that I'm desperate. So I'd probably call but not overly do it. Like call once, back off, and wait.

They probably only wait for girls to call because girls normally call first anyway, They just hold out until you call so they dont seem too anxious to talk to you- guys have to keep their cool and not seem "whipped"
