the bedroom is a good room cuz it could mean the bed. and in turn the bed could mean the actual bed - i.e. get her some really nice sheets (think high thread count in pure cotton) in the color they registered for. or the bed could also mean something more romantic like candles, romantic cd's, oils, kama sutra books, etc. or if you know what decor style their room is get them something in that style.

Pretty pillowcases, or candles, or his and her slippers, or a piece of artwork, or a set of small lamps, or his and her reading lights, or aromatherapy lotions that help you sleep...
Do NOT give a gift card or money at a shower. You ned to take an actual, physical gift to a shower.

How about a nice negligee? Or a nice frame, with or without a picture of the happy couple. If you know their bedroom color scheme, one or two nice throw pillows (like a neck roll) for the bed or an afghan would be nice. A bed tray for breakfast in bed. A bedside carafe and matching water glass. A clock or a clock radio for their bedside. His and hers slippers.

The safe gift is a gift card to Linens and things or Bed Bath and Beyond. The couple can get something that matches their style or apply it to something for another room. If you are wanting to actually get a present for them to unwrap, think outside the box. Cedar hangers for the closet. A laundry hamper that coordinates with the room. Think about what you would like to get for your room but might never buy for yourself. Then apply it to their style. Hope this helps!

a nice gift for the couple would be a book on massages, aromatherapy candles, and some massage tools and lotion. You can find a basket gift set at bath and body works and other stores like them. The book can be found at any local bookstore.
Or you can buy the items separately, and create your own basket.

Well, you certainly don't HAVE to buy something for the bedroom if you have another idea in mind. My favorite choice for any gift giving is to really consider the recipient and get something they would love to have but would never buy for themselves. But, since you didn't ask that, I got the hubby one of those electric waterfalls and hung it on the wall in our bedroom. Romantic and peaceful.

Did they register? If so select something from there, if not, and you know her well Try bedding, or curtains, or even artwork that goes with the theme she's using. Maybe even furniture or if you want something personal how about a pillow with a picture of the happy couple, or havit enboidered with their monograhm.

A comforter is a nice "safe" gift. Or a gift card that would cover the cost of a plain comforter insert that they can pick a cover for.
If you want something more daring (and call her and ask if daring is ok).. then some fun lingerie for her for use in the bedroom would be good (keep it all white if possible).
