Although the stretch marks may fade with time they will only be removed with surgery or possibly laser treatment.

You may be able to tone up your belly, sit ups are your best bet, I have two children and my stomach is as flat as it was pre-pregnancy because I did sit-ups, but everyones physiology is different so it may never go.

Sorry if that isn't what you want to hear!!

My friend just had a tummy tuck for exactly these reasons, although it got rid of the baby belly she still has some strech marks.

There is no way to get rid of stretch marks from any source. Stretch marks are caused by a rapid weight gain and will leave those red stretch marks. The good news is they will eventually blend in with the natural skin tone. The hardest thing to deal with is the acceptance of them. I know how you feel. I got stretch marks on my upper thighs and buttocks when I was 11. Had a growth spurt. I was ashamed to even wear a bathing suit. When I was pregnant, I only got them on my breasts. Bless your heart. You can rub all kinds of cream but it will not remove them.

I don't know about the baby belly, but purchase some Bio Oil from the chemist, this is an excellent oil for scars and other things.

Have a look at the site below for more information, it really does work.

All the best.

Everyone who bears children has this problem.

The thing that's truly problematic is that celebrities give us all the highly-unrealistic impression that it's possible to go back--not only to ones pre-baby figure but also to ones pre-baby skin--AND in record time.

What do they know that we "mere mortal" women don't know? Honestly, I don't think that it's anything more-profound than having ones own plastic surgeon and dermatologist practically as a part of ones "personal staff." (Yes, they DO have trainers and cooks and expensive cosmetics suchlike, but truly miraculous transformations take surgery!)

BTW, maybe this site will help you to feel better about yourself (at least until you've saved up $$$ for plastic surgery):
http://shapeofamother.blogspot.com/2006/07/who-am-i.html

And one other thing: Wouldn't it be absolutely REVOLUTIONARY if all women, everywhere, were able to stop seeing themselves as being in direct competition with every hard-bodied, youthful, nubile, fresh, sexpot of a young woman in the world? It's wonderful to be fit and beautiful, but there is far more to life than ones looks. Presumably our boyfriends and husbands care about us for far more than our surface qualities--which, after all, fade with age, whether one has babies or not. Wouldn't it be great if we could collectively give those unforgiving "looksism" standards the boot?

Bio-oil or vitamin E oil is almost the same and is cheaper. Get it from the health food shop. It's what doctors recommend for patients who've had major surgery or lots of scar tissue from an accident. It's a long process but keep at it and it will work!

the best way to lose your baby belly is to exercise and eat healthy..i have tried these and still have it :'( as for stretch marks i am trying a cream called elicina,it is made from snails secretion (sounds horrible i know) but apparently it is very effective for scars, acne and stretch marks,i bought it a few days ago,and it takes a few months to show proper results so cant say if it works for me..but seeing results from other people is amazing.have a look on the website

cocoa butter and vitamin e. cocoa butter is more used as a moisturizer to prevent stretch marks it works only a little for clearing stretch marks, but vitamin E will help make them less visible. there are vitamin e lotions and creams, but what I’ve found to work the best, is to buy the supplement pills, cut them open and just use that on them.

i actually went to a plastic surgeon yesterday for this very reason and this is what he told me: he has a laser that will make stretch marks less visable, but as for getting rid of them, you would have to get a tummy tuck, of course after you are done having children. as for now, i am going to do the laser treatments, then once i am done having my babies, i will get the tummy tuck.
