They have every right to say what they want, just like the Pope can say what he did.
He was only quoting what an emperor in the 14th century had said about Islam during that time, He never said that he agreed with what this emperor had said.

Yes they do. A lot of other religions ask that people be removed or resign when they don't agree with them, so why couldn't they ask? It probably wouldn't happen, but they could ask anyways.
As for what you've been taught, you need to learn more. Never assume you know the truth because someone else has told you it's so.
As for Catholics, some families won't let their children marry anyone who isn't a Catholic. It may not equal killing all non-Catholics, but it shows that if you're not Catholic, you aren't the same as them. Also, although it's in the past, the Inquisition killed anyone who was not a Christian. Christians at that time followed the Catholic Church's teachings.
Not all Muslims are killers.

Oh, the rights. The rights. The rights.
That is so not important. The islams can demand whatever they want, who cares ?
We know that whatever they demand will be completely absurd. The islams never said anything when Rusia invaded Afganistan. Why they did not bomb the kremlin then ?
To Sooku:
You are making the same mistake the islams say we make.
If you have some friends that are islams and would not hurt a fly that proves NOTHING !
We are not talking about your friends, we are talking about the islams in general. And don't say that the terrorists are only a few. That excuse is so old that not even bones remain

Well, the Catholic religion doesn't do that... anymore. Probably because people got fed up with them killing their neighbors and family off during all those Inquisitions.
But, I agree. The Muslims have no right to demand the Pope's removal. Especially since they will not remove their own leaders when others have asked them to force them to step down. I'm not sure what they are thinking, demanding things of people outside of their own mindset (I can't dumb down that far myself) and thinking that because they threaten us, that we will comply. I guess they still aren't out of the dark ages yet, as far as that goes.

PS--"Open-Minded" -- you can find those same types of things in the bible. Taking excerpts from the Qur'an means you aren't reading in context. I'm sure you didn't find those yourself.

Well, i think you're forgetting about the spanish inquisition here.
Muslims being offended by his remarks is justified (how could he actually say that and not expect it), but I do think that violence is stupid way to go about showing the world you're offended. And no, they have no right to demand the pope to be removed, since they aren't catholic. If the pope had thought about the generalizations he was making, perhaps he would have edited his remarks a bit beforehand.
I also think that everyone needs to try sometimes to look from someone else's point of view. The one answerer in this panel that said "those dogs" --that's freaking rascist. Rascism still sucks dude, no matter what color you're blindly hating on.

No, but we can make it conditional if we can remove some of their mullahs, just kidding! OF COURSE NOT, how ridiculous can they get. I believe they are aiming at an insult or islam (submission) to the chief mullah from the street. The pope is far more erudite than any of these can ever hope to become.

Islam radicals seem pretty insecure to me. They get so offended by the opinions of others...so much so that when accused of being violent they respond with VIOLENCE. They cover their faces and kidnap innocents, journalists, women, etc. They cannot reach military targets so they target whatever is easiest to them. Cowards.
But that's not all of Islam, so don't generalize. Many Muslims are peaceful and view the idiotic actions of a few as just that. One explained to me that the reason the pope's remarks were so offensive to many Muslims is because they respect Jesus and want the same respect for Mohammad.

No, they are just a bit jealous they don't have one. Didn't know that Catholics are a tiny less worse than the Muslims. I hope the Pope doesn't excommunicate you.

No. Not any more than I think the american public should get the Iranian president out of office for what he said about Bush. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I guess some people can give one but do not like having one leveled at them.

They have the right to 'demand' it. I demand the impeachment of Bush. But there's a big difference between a verbal demand and wanting to kill someone because they insult you.
