i had a baby about 5 months ago and i had to move away from my daughters father but now were going to be seeing each other again and i want to look the way i did before i got pregnant. how can i get my stomach back in shape? what are some good at home exercises?

Really, cardio is the most important thing. Running, walking, biking, swimming... Along with the cardio, i'd do crunches every so often as well. However, without the cardio, the crunches won't make a noticeable difference since crunches get your muscles into shape which you won't be able to see without working off an adequate amount of fat from the stomach area.

Cardio is, as I said, the most important thing. It gets your metabolism going faster so you burn more calories throughout the day and night while at rest. That's important since over the course of the day, you need your body to burn more calories than you take in so you can lose the weight.

Sorry I don't have more for you, but i've been working on getting into shape recently as well and have tried everything and none of those fancy things were working. I finally went to a doctor and he told me basically the same thing I just told you. Also make sure you stay hydrated and drink a lot of water. Just don't drink *really* cold water as you're excercising, because that actually does harm to your body.

For most people the lower abs are hardest so i would suggest leg raises where you can lay down with back support and raise your legs in the air fully extended and point your toes at the ceiling and there are variations like lifting one leg in a "scissor" motion and only raising your legs about 10 inches.
