Cool meaning to get along with your friends. I agree with you friends NEED to know their boundaries. If you ad your girl was in a long time relationship I think its only common that you both can get along with each others friends.

There are some friends who can't be trusted and needs to be known so there is no mishapps later on.

Yes, but depends on what you term as "cool". In a relationship it's important to have common friends so that both of you can be trusted when the friends are around. Friends must know their boundries when it comes to your relationship. Sometimes you can not trust a friend around your girlfriend. This needs to be communicated to her and them.
