There are these guys in my class who are addicted to them, and like to gross the girls in my class by eating them and telling us that they are made out of separated meat and guts and stuff. I have never had one, but I've seen them in stores everywhere. So, what exactly is a Slim Jim made out of?

Slim Jims...like most highly preserved snack meat items usually consist of meat scraps, high fat content, seasoning, sodium nitrate as a preservative, artificial colorings and artificial smoke flavor. Really something to think about huh?
