Let them know that you were not please with a ladder being in the classroom begin with and what if it cracked his skull. What could the school do to have prevent this from happening again. Just be thankful he wasn't hurt. Yes, you probably could. If so you should write the date, time, location, teacher's name and even take a pic of his bump.

I agree, the ladder shouldn't have been in the classroom. But if it's a PUBLIC school, we're all going to pay the price if you sue and win. Did you incur any expenses related to this? Or would you just like to sue to get money. I can't see a judge awarding you anything if it didn't cost you anything. I'd talk to the teacher and the principal as was mentioned previously and make sure they know you feel the ladder in there is completely unacceptable and that you are very disappointed in the fact that you cannot send your child to school and trust that he will not be injured. But as it looks now, there's really no reason to take any action other than making the principal aware of the situation if he or she isn't already aware.

The first thing you need to do is take your son to a doctor. You should make sure that it is just a bump and not something that will cause trouble later. That process also leaves you with proof and documentation from a medical professional.
Contact the principal of the school and ask for a copy of the accident report that should have been filled out by the teacher.
Tell the principal that you have taken your child to a doctor and will be sending them a copy of the bill. They should offer to pay the bill and if they do not, let them know that you expect them to.
You should arrange a meeting with the principal, teacher, yourself and some person who will be a support person for you (father of child, friend, or child advocate) This meeting should go over the accident report, the actual accident and why the ladder was in the room in the first place.
Good luck!

I would go to the school and ask the principal these questions, why was the ladder in the middle of a classroom.
Thank God, your son was not seriously injured. And i would ask them what they are going to do in the future to keep this from happening again. As in regards to suing the school, I don't know, that is a very personal choice. do you really think it warrants all of that? I realize you are upset, but your son thankfully was not seriously injured. At least i would expect an apology and an explanation of the ladder being in the middle of the classroom

You need to document the accident so go to the school and get a copy of the report of if none make sure to get one. I can not assume anything so the real question would be if he had such a bump did you take him to the Doctor or ER??? That should be the first part of your question not what can I do in regards to how it happened or can you sue.

Try letting your son grow up to be a man! Why do you feel as though you have to "sue" someone? Do you want to raise a damn sissy? The whole world is full of mommas boy's. If he didn't incur any malfunctions from this, don't carry on like the meddling mother you appear to be. Like I said-allow him to grow up! If this is the worst bump on the noggin that he ever gets, then you should feel awful lucky about that. What will you do when he is 30 and something happens? Will he also run to mumsy then as well? My God woman, leave it be.

How old is your son? Take him to the doctor. Accidents happen. Be grateful no one was injured more seriously. Get a hobby, stay out of court.
