We do not want Ahmedinijad to have nuclear weapons because he once said he would wipe Israel off the map. He also once denied the holocaust ever happened (he HATES the jews). We do not not want Kim Jong-il to have the nuclear weapons because in 1950, they raged a war with south korea fot 3 years. And the son of the leader of North Korea back then is Kim Jong-il, the current leader.
We all know that the communist country still wants to destroy the free nation to the south.

Because Bush is insecure enough to think that Iran'll use it to make a nuclear weapon, even though all evidence points that they are using it for electrical power. North Korea, however, admits to having a nuclear weapon, so I guess that's a bit more justifiable than Iran.

g America feels threatened by countries that were once considered third world gain ground on them. It is not because of terrorism, because we sure know who the real terrorists are in this world. Its the people sitting in the white house. And there has not been any proof that Iran is building any weapons, just trying to find a new source of power for the country. Why should we object to that when the earths ozone is being eaten out by the type of energy we use today.

I think even George Bush is willing to admit that Iran is entitled to nuclear power. What the Americans are concerned with is that Iran might be attempting to build nuclear weapons. Since Iran is a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty, it is legally not allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

North Korea is clearly after more than nuclear power. They have declared themselves to be in possession of atomic weapons, which several agreements they signed forbade them from acquiring.

Simple answer. Because N. Korea and Iran has notorious history of supporting the world's terrorists.

No wonder why Bush labeled them as "axis of evil".

Think about it. Would you let the dangerous ex-convict to obtain the firearms?

The country's you mentioned, except for Iran and N.Korea have responsible and stable governments.

The last two, Iran and N.Korea are anything but stable. Their leadership is unstable and unpredictable, a sure profile for a disaster looking to happen.

For any sane citizen of the world, it only makes good sense that these country's never have a chance to launch a missile, because it will mean certain annihaltion for the country that attempts to jump first.

Nuclear weapons require a wisdom that most do not fully possess.

With the near-rogue status of these two nations, what stops them from attack Israel and S Korea?

Will we apologize later, after the smoke has cleared and many are dead?

If we are consider a model of restraint (and we aren't all that good), what can we honestly expect from these two?

Many G-8 countries get nervous when countries with unstable leaders get the means to refine plutonium, needed for power and weapons. It's not the power bit they care about.
