Listen, men are no more likely to not admit when they are wrong than women are to do so. What you are actually referring to is boy's who are in men's bodies. Boy's who never actually mature properly, yet fool us as to their nature by the grown male bodies they inhabit, are the ones most likely to not want to admit when they are wrong. Now, to be completely fair here, girls who are disguised in a full grown woman's body are just as likely not to wish to admit when they are wrong either. The best way to know if somebody is actually grown, mature, is to wait to you have a real chance to get to know them properly, then you can easily tell the men from they boys and the women from the girls. Properly mature men and women do not have much problem admitting when they are wrong. Not in my experiences anyway and I have lived nearly a half century. So, I hope this helps clear things up for you. Men do admit when they are wrong, boys do not. Women do admit when they are wrong, girls do not.

You're generalizing sweetie. Some men, some of the time; not all men, all of the time.

Also, a few words on proof. I read a quotation about being right or wrong in book of quotations sometime ago. I think the book was entitled "The Great Quotations." The quotation indicated if you are absolutely certain that you are correct, you are probably not too smart, because what is considered proven scientific fact is sometimes later disproven. It's part of learning. Scientists sometimes discover that what was formerly accepted as the truth is now shown to be incorrect. And they examine the information in detail to determine where they went wrong in their original thinking, hoping not to make a similar mistake again.

So, to net it out, it seems (or so I think anyway) that when you don't agree with someone's opinion, it's wiser to tell him that you believe he might be wrong (not that he is wrong) based on the information or knowledge you have available to you. That way, the conversation remains friendly, and possibly (if your information is impressive) you sway him to your way of thinking. If not, then, maybe the information he has sways you to his way of thinking.

In the end, it's also possible that neither of you can sway the other, so you agree to disagree (for the time being).

But not all men and women are inclined to interact in such a way. Some have other inclinations. Which approach you prefer I guess depends on your personality and what impresses you. Are you impressed by a bully who wants to shove his belief down your throat, or are you impressed with someone who is interested in sharing his reasoning with you, but is also interested in hearing your reasoning too. I want to believe that most people eventually come around to being impressed by an approach that reflects maturity rather than imaturity.

Because we are never wrong. Even if there is proof, that proof was planted and/or we are being set up by some government agency as a patsy.

Seriously though, some men just have a problem admitting things. I don't though, if I am wrong, I admit it. I don't care, I admit my mistakes and then try and learn from them.

I have known more women including me to admit that we are wrong, then men do. When men to admit they are wrong they start joking around. Its almost like you have to tell them that they are wrong and they they just fight back and say your wrong too. Its just cause they have nothing to really admit how they really feel. They feel like they have to be the guy. and its like they were brought up that way in guy's can never be wrong.

I don't mean to be a wise cracker, but why is it so important for you to hear someone say that? Not everyone is born with the same needs as you. Why not just move past it and enjoy each other?

Hello,

I have learned that any question that begins with "why" is usually a mean criticism disguised as a question.

When anyone asks you "why" you do such and such, little alarm bells should go off in your head and be on your guard, trouble is brewing.

Take care

That is not always true when I am wrong I can admit it, there is no reason to dwell on it but I don't mind admitting it at all.

Whoa, there! What are you talkin' about? My old saying is " I may not be right, but I'm never wrong!" It's one of our guy secrets, so don't say where you got it. Actual reason is we as men are even more insecure than you women, but we never admit it, amI right? (wait, I can't be --- I'm a man.) love, Rat
