At what age can a female get her tubes tide?

a female who has one child and does not want to have another.

Any age you like as long as you are SURE you do not want anymore children. Got my done in my early 30's, at first the doctor really questioned me, but he new I had been thinking about it for a couple years.

In reality it can be done at any age as long as you are a legal adult. However, most doctors will not do it until you are 35 or older because of the fact that you are still in your childbearing years and they will be reluctant to do it on the basis of just not wanting to have another child.

I wanted to have my tubes tied when I was 25 because I had severe PCOS and was told that I would likely not have kids without it being high risk of miscarriage, but my doctor said he wouldn't do it because of my age. Said I might change my mind down the road. I thought it was nuts but now I'm 31 and I'm happily pregnant so there is wisdom in their logic...

But if you're absolutely sure, you could shop around and see if you can find someone who will do it for you. You are certainly of legal age to do it.

You can get the tubes tide at any given age.if you are going to the doctor and ask him if he can do it you have to fill out a questionaire and you have to be 100%sure that this is what you really want to do.he will ask you a million questions and make you or at least try to make you unsure of the situation.He will might ask you all this "what if" questions.(In case you meet some one and all of a sudden you would like to have a Baby with this new fellow.) Your doc might gives you a hart time with this.

What age are u?
Usually they don't let u tie ur tubes until ur over the age of 23 or u have more than 1 child because once u tie them u can't un-do it and alot of young women make the mastake of tieing their tubes and then later they may get married and he wants kids and u can't provide him with that gift!

most of the doctors out there will not allow it. unless you have a phisical problem, or unless you are like 30. I have a friend who has three kids and almost died, and they finally agreed to tie her tubes. She would use birth control and it did not work, but it attacked her kidneys, and now she only has one. She had one kidney removed while she was 26 weeks pregnant.

good luck on that. Your best option would be to get a ten year implant.

That depends alot on the doctor. If you are 23 and have never had children, you will be hard pressed to find a doctor to do it for you. However, if you are 23 and have had three children, you will find one rather easily. I was 31 with 3 children when I had mine done.

It is age 21, or when you have 2 children. I know if you are on the state's health ins, you have to be 21.

If you're over 18, you can do it. But you'd do better to go on birth control (say, the shot or something long-lasting) and wait for a while - I know 2 people who did this while in their early 20s, and later regretted it.

If you are willing to travel, likely the youngest any doctor with the tiniest bit of morals would do it would be 16. This would also be preformed under no guidelines and with a terribly high chance of something going wrong. Its better to just practice safe sex.
