Throw it out and go get a new one-cheap scape! $1.59?? Wasn't worth the effort to write the question!

You can melt the sugar - and make fudge of it... good candy to give as pretty and cute gifts to friends and other people

10 Minute Fudge Recipe :

3 oz Chocolate, unsweetened; 3 sq 4 tb Margarine 4 1/2 c Sugar, powdered 1/3 c Milk, instant nonfat dry 1/2 c Syrup, light corn 1 tb Water 1 ts Vanilla extract 1/2 c Nuts; chopped (opt.)

Melt chocolate and margarine in top of 2 quart double boiler. Sift together powdered sugar and dry milk. Stir corn syrup, water, and vanilla into chocolate mixture. Stir in sugar and dry milk in two additions. Continue stirring until mixture is well blended and smooth. Remove from heat; stir in nuts. Turn into greased 8-inch square pan. Cool. Cut into squares.

if it is still white, not crystalized, can break it up, put in a bag, and crush it like ice- keep it in a dry place, and it will still be usable. So long as it is not crystalized. If it has been wettned, like water hitting it, and it becomes clear crystalized- it wont be any good unless you want to make candy. Can place the sugar in a pan, over low to medium heat, it will cook down, become clear- when it cools, will have rock candy.

I know when brown sugar gets hard, you can put a slice or two of bread into the container with it and by the next day it is soft again. It worked for me.

Oh, for cryin out loud.....take it out and throw it in the woods for the deer or other animals to eat.
Sugar is cheap......go buy another bag!

Add some water. Boil until it turns into syrup. Use as liquid sweetener for coffee.

you pur rice into salt to stop it getting damp, it soaks up the moisture, that might work with sugar.
