Yes, it will start and stop for a while, and you may already be having your first period. Congratulations on your baby!

I was wondering the same thing and I guess since you are or did experience the same thing as me it is normal. I had my baby July 27th and just stopped bleeding a week or two ago. But after I completly stopped bleeding a week or two later I started bleeding again. The only thing is it was NOT my period. I just bled for 2 or 3 days and it wasn't heavy like my period or painful. Also, I don't know for sure but I think your first period after having a baby will be more painful than your normal periods. At least that is what I have experienced after having 3 kids.

Yes, some women bleed off and on for 6 weeks. It could also be your normal period. it takes some time for your body to go back to normal after a baby. As long as it is not heavy bleeding (more than 2 pads an hour) or a lot of big clots. If you are worried about it call the doc.

I would need more information to answer this completely. Like how long has it been since you delivered and are you breastfeeding or are you on any birth control pills. It could just be that your after birth lochia has stopped and you have started your period. Or it could be what happened to me, where for some reason your uterus lining doesn't cut off the blood supply. I had to go to 2 doctors to find this out. And the only way to stop it besides just waiting and waiting for it to solve itself, is to have the doctor prescribe high doses of birth control pills to stop the bleeding. If you are concerned don't hesitate to talk to a doctor until it's solved, otherwise you might get dehydrated or anemic and start to feel like crap.

After child birth you will bleed for about 6 weeks. Then you will get your period back unless you are breastfeeding.

yes...your body is so out of wack right now that anything that was normal is not now...you know? So don't worry about it you are probably just having your period. It will take a few months for your periods to get normal and your body to get semi-normal.

Congrads on the baby!

I bled off and on for several weeks. If it is really heavy or you don't feel right, then check with your doctor.
