What will your average evolved human be like in, say 10, 000 years time? Where will humankind be (assuming it's not been obliterated?)

at the rate we're going:
Stupider (as the lower the IQ and lower the education, the more procreatioin)
More religious (as those people are having more babies than athiests)
Less resistant to disease and virus (as modern medicine ensures that we all survive the childhood diseases)
NearSighted (sitting at keyboards and staring at screens)
Fat, out of shape (since life is so easy)

so... we're evolving- but there's no more survival of the fittest going on right now. We're moving backwards in our capabilities.

I think human beings have taken the whole evolutionary process to a new level and rendered it obsolete. The point of evolution is to adapt a life form to better suit it’s environment, but humans pretty much have total control over their environment and what we can’t do now we will certainly be able to within the next 10,000 years. We have also taken away the basic fundamental principles that allows evolution to work, survival of the fittest. If someone has a disability, we help them to live. If they are susceptible to a disease, we find a cure. Nature no longer is in control, we are!

Now evolution is in human hands, I think the whole process will speed up exponentially as our design can be based on logical decisions as opposed to the trial and error of nature. I believe we will probably do what ever we feel like with our bodies as they will no longer really matter. The really interesting bit is what we do with our minds as that is the part of us that still needs to evolve. That’s as long as it doesn’t get turned to mush by religion first.

Humans haven't changed very much in the last 10,000 years, so to expect some drastic change in the next 10,000 years is unlikely. Evolution works on scales involving 100,000's of years, depending on environmental conditions and stresses on the species involved.
I would imagine that in 10,000 years humans would have a greatly expanded lifespan, and hopeful learned how to live in peace. We might find ourselves to be taller perhaps, with less hair...small changes.

We wouldn't have an appendix, they are only there from the days we ate grass. We probably wouldn't have different races though - I think we'd have all merged to one. I don't know, it's all in what we find attractive really, if we all though 'oh my goodness me, men with six fingers are by far the sexiest' then more six fingered children would be born, you get my drift? So maybe we'd be a little taller, all have brown eyes or something.

i think we as humans will not evolve into anything else physically, but mentaly we will be filled with greed and hatered. I also believe we will never grow anymore because we as a planet will die out from pollution, nuclear wars, or other ways we created.

in simply terms we will kill ourselves before we evolve.

Well, thats an interestign question.

Physically, we may be alot weaker then we are now, simply because our Technology has become our artifical limb. We may be lookign at very little physical difference, other then enlarged Brains, but even then i doubt that...simply my friend, we don;t need to evolve anymore, we just build new things when we need them

We are DEVOLVING, not evolving.
As medical science advances, we keep more genetically weak humans alive who are then able to reproduce.
(I am not saying it's right or wrong, just what I think is happening. I am not advocating any form of Ethnic or Genetic cleansing, or engineering.)

Humans are not evolving. There is no scientific proof of evolution.

If we came from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

All animals are complete. There have been no half evolved animals found.

Animals will adapt to their environment, but they are not turning into a new animals.
