I have been there, mine were impacted too, and there is NOTHING as bad as tooth pain!
So, take heart, I know something that will really help, unfortunately you'll have to go buy it. I took it and managed to work without crying all over the place.
It is a mixture of clove oil, cinnamon and oregano oils, and it works amazingly well. Do not buy just plain clove oil if you can help it...it helps, but not enough.
The brand I use is 'Uncle Harry's Natural Product's Toothache relief oil"
there is a Telephone # on the bottle 425-643-4664
or, uncleharrys.com
Maybe they could rush you some via mail or let you know if there is any in your area.
Otherwise, if this is impossible, talk to your dentist about a prescription for Vicoden or SOMETHING to get you thru until you can have them removed. Good Luck, and hang in there!
And in regards to hospital VS dentist, that does depend on the teeth...you might need to go to an Oral Surgeon, as I did. Hopefully you have insurance, but if not, many dentists will work with you. Again, good luck!

If I were you, I would go to an oral surgeon. I had my two bottom wisdom teeth come in, and they were also impacted. The only problem I had was a little swelling after the surgery, and I was swollen for 3 maybe 4 days. My dad had his regular dentist remove his wisdom tooth, and his face was swollen for almost 2 months. He said that he wished he would have went to the oral surgeon after that. They only used a local on him, while I was knocked out for my surgery, so it was great.

Oil of Cloves dabbed on with a cotton bud, or an original style Fishermans friend throat sweet, only the original work, lay it in your mouth on the bad tooth side, and let it dissolve, so get your taste buds ready.
The Dentist does it, you will need half a day off work as it is a minor opp.

i feel so sorry for you. toothache is the worst pain in the world!!! i would rather give birth. i ended up in hospital with an accidental overdose once cos the pain was that bad and wouldn`t go away so i kept taking painkillers!! if there is any chemists or supermarkets open just now,get someone to go for you and buy paramol, they`re in a black box,if not,go to bed alone, cos anyone beside you will annoy you and phone for an emergency dentist first thing in the morning. dentists can`t take wisdom teeth out but they will do something for you untill you get a hospital appointment..... take care.xx

Sounds stupid but try whisky! It numbs the pain! I had all of my wisdom teeth pull out at the dentist, it was back home in Switzerland where dentists are highly qualified though. I believe if you live in the UK you will probably end up on a long NHS waiting list and go to hospital to have them taken out.

Obviously you need to see your dentist ASAP - however in the meantime, you could try a little oil of clove. Put some on the tip of your finger (not too much it stings and burns) and wipe finger over gum where impacted tooth is (very gently) the warmth of the oil of clove will help to numb the pain

Most good regular dentists can do it, but sometimes if it is really problamatic on x-rays they will refer you to an oral surgeon. Ask for a payment plan if you need it, get in NOW. It will not get better. Take Tylenol in the mean time and get some numbing Clorseptic for your mouth.

hi there, take some iburprofen which is a anti inflammitory.this will calm it down abit, but in most cases keepin it very clean by rincing with warm salty water or even get some corsodyl mouth wash,if its impacted u normally go to the hospital and have a general anaesthetic(asleep)unless the dentist knows its not close to a nerve he will remove it himself.x
