OK, all you god fearing people out there. Here you go.
If God exists, any God, not just Christian God, and you know its a fact. Prove it. Give me one peice of tangible evidence that he is real. Not circumstantial evidence. NO Bible verses. I dont believe in the Bible as fact so that wont work, if you bring out scripture I will ignore it. Written words mean nothing if there is no proof to back up the words. I need something I can see, something I can hold in my hand, something I can witness with my own eyes. Something that a court of law would accept as evidence.
If you were a lwayer, arguing to a judge, give me the evidence you would give the Judge that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that god exsists. No spritual BS, something real. Something that will make someone who has NEVER believed, believe.
Get my point? SOMETHING REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You cant. There is nothing

Amazing, all these answers and I get nothing. Well, one person, Suspendor, I will find that book and I will read it. Mathmatics is a science that can be proven.
All you others, I get nothig but "look around"
I do. Ands I see evoluion at work. I asked fofor tangible proof. None of you can provide it

Funny thing...it seems only Christians answered this question. At least thats what it seems like. Why is it only Christians that have to defend their faith? I asked from all religions

My whole point here is Most religious people stae their beliefs as fact. If they answered with " in my opinion" or "I believe" thats something different. But if your going to state something as fact provide proof to back your facts up.

Would you settle for mathematical proof?
Read "The Case For Immortality" by Frank Tippler.
Of course, you won't. Your type would rather ASSume that they already know everything about everything. There is no cure for willful ignorance.

I am an Occultist and I have a firm belief in God. I do not intend to tell you a lie or pretend I have proof. Im not going to quote a book or preach to you. I do not have evidence that God exists, any God for that matter. The truth is even if this said evidence existed you would do everything in your power to disprove it. You have chosen to believe that God does not exist becuase their is no proof. At the same time however you do not have signifigant evidence to prove that he doesn't. That is why these silly questions hop up, someone wants the truth to be revealled all the meanwhile not working to find the truth themselves. They expect the other side to prove their point for them becuase after all, we have so much faith that we are correct the only logical conclusion is the other side is wrong.
I do not know the truth, I am an Occultist. My overall desire is to find this truth by seeking it out. The way I figure it nobody else is looking for any of the big questions anymore. I want to know if proof of God exists. I want to know the meaning to life, the universe and everything. I want to know why hot dogs come in packages of 10 and hotdog buns come in packages of 12. I want to know how people will do the right thing dispite every option to fail at it. I want to know the purpose of life.
I do not yet know any of this. I know in my lifetime it is unlikely I will figure out anything save the hot dog question. I however intend to try with every fiber of my being. I suggest both the Athiests and the Theists stop wasting time bickering, pick a question they want the answer too. Then once they have a good question seek it out with every fiber of their being.
Hails to the Truth,
Silence

There are so many proofs I'd be hard put where to start. I'll give you just one. If you were told that a house, any house, came together all by itself, would you believe it? Of course not! Things just don't come together by itself. An explosion only disperses things, not make things come together. And that's just a simple house.
Now what about the intricate universe? The intricate earth? An intricate leaf? The cells in your brain? Did they come together by theirself? Did these atoms just decide: 'Let's make a leaf cell'! "Let's make a star!" "Let's make a human being!"
I don't think even you believe that!
Everything in existence bespeaks an intelligent and artistic designer/creator, and a loving one at that! God exists, even though you can't see him.
You can't 'see' gravity. You can't 'see' wind, yet there's no denying that these factors exist.
The Bible, which he wrote, is WAY beyond the human scope of achievement. It would have been virtually impossible for the 40 men who were used to write the Bible to have written what they wrote - and all 66 books be in agreement.
Why not investigate it yourself, with an open mind, and consider the irrefutable facts. Believing in God will not make you a wimp. It will give you a real reason for living.

Your question(s) presupposes that God is a man and therefore subject to Man’s whims. God is not a man that he should submit to clinical analysis or critical review. He is the Great I Am apart from Whom nothing is.
You want something real? Consider the following:
Man is the only creature on God’s green earth who can gaze at the Heavens and ask himself, “Where did I come from;” and “Is there a God?” Angels and demons don’t have to wonder. They have walked with God and know He exists. Which brings us back to Man, who is also the only creature arrogant enough to believe that he has no superior.
You want proof of God's existance but you are too smart to accept the ancient writings that speak of a Creator as true? You are too urbane to lend credence to the Apostles (whose reputation is beyond reproach) and who authored the four Gospels? Then I can only offer you this:
Look at the Heavens and marvel at its synchronicity. Can you still believe there is no Intelligent Design? Look at your hands and see the intricate swirls of your fingerprints. Are they there purely by chance, or did God sign you with these unique markings?
If you still refuse to believe the evidence that surrounds you, then nothing I can say will make you a believer and I can only wish you luck.
H
Wilchy, you are NOT looking for proof. You are VENTING. Why are you so angry? Don't you know that everyone gets at least one chance to know the Truth? Are you so sure that you want to blow your chance? God is NOT required to give you proof of anything, and His servants can only POINT you in the right direction. The rest is up to you. Can you handle the Truth?

there are three types of proof that are accepted in this world: mathmatical eg 5+5=10 rational, logical knowledge, scientific u do an experiment and find out if ur hypothisis is true or not, then there is personal knowledge. each of those is perfectly valid. what alot of people do is they take some thing personal and they try to prove it mathmatically or scientifically. let me illistrate the point....lets take something like a kiss, do u agree with me that a kiss is personal?? can u define a kiss mathmatically-no u cant. can u define a kiss scientifically-yeah u can. here is the definition of a kiss scientifically...it is the approach of two pairs of lips with a transmission of microbes and carbon dioxide.
so if i say to my fella, 'come here!! let us draw our lips together an exchange microbes and carbon dioxide' an my fella says to me, 'hunni since i last saw u i have developed a bad cold-i can give u special microbes!' that isnt goin to do it!it wont generate romance!! why? well if u take something that is personal and you try and define it scientifically or mathmatically u get a load of nonsense!!! God is personal-u do not prove God u experience God!!

Perception is reality. To many people God is as real as the air they breathe because they, unlike a rational human being, don't need ANY empirical evidence to substantiate their claim. They can't believe in evolution when there is a mound of overwhelming evidence, but they have no problem believing that a guy in the sky sacrificed himself, to himself to appease himself. Good luck getting a straight answer on this one.

You really are talking out of both sides of your mouth. You want proof of God, but say you look around and see evolution all around you. Name ONE thing you have ever witnessed evolving. Evolution has no proof, no one has ever seen it and therefore they can only say that it takes billions of years for this to happen. SO I would like to know how you think you see evolution happeing all around you. You have a FAITH that evolution is true. its a religious belief and something that you follow blindly because someone in a white lab coat told you its so. There is a billboard in California offering 1 million dollars for someone to Prove that evolution exists and so far no one can do it. So You absolutely DO have faith, you just choose to have faith in evolution rather than GOd.

I think you should take a look at the question I posted today on atheists conforming to the christian ideals. I think you answered it in the same context as this question, and I do not think you entirely read my question properly. I am an atheist.
Or maybe you just write the same things over and over again.

It's Sad that you are too sorry to find him for yourself like believers did. Common sense would tell you that the people of the bible didn't search for him thru books because there wasn't any. GOD didn't choose us we chose him not out of fear but because he was there when no one else was! You are not chosen by God if you have to see it to believe it. Don't be a slothful sinner look for him yourself! Blind eyes must be open. Get the point?
