You will go as long as that child decides it wants to remain in the oven.. or until the doc says OK, this baby has had enough time to back and it's time to help him/her out of there!
Everyone is different, every new infant is different.. it is like they have a mind of their own... enjoy what little bit of time you have left to be pregnant... and look to the next full moon for a new package to arrive! You will give birth anywhere from 37 weeks - 42 weeks after conception. It really depends on your body and your baby.

usually after 42 weeks they will induce..so yes about 40 weeks past your last menstral period.
