My dad's brother dies today, and my sister just got fired (on her second day.) I want to do something special for them. Any ideas?

Be there for them. Don't avoid your dad, however sad he is, and be patient with your sister, however angry she is.

Fix them both dinner.

Finally take care of yourself - you've lost a relative, too.

make a great supper, and put some flowers on the table and all eat together, make them know your still there and you love them just the same no matter the bad day! Sorry to hear about your uncle, and tell your sis heads up she'll find a better job then that one anyways!

I think the best thing to do is to just be there for them and talk if they want to. You may want to make them some dinner.

Be there for them. Sometimes it's not what you do, it's that you stand by them in times of trouble and give them the opportunity to "sound off" without fear of losing you.

have a movie night with them (at home or in the theatre). cook for them, or take them out to eat. and just let them know you are there for them if they want to talk.
