Ok, what is the best way to get this guy to see that I am good for him? And that he would benefit from actually committing to this relationship.......should I threaten to leave? How can i get his attention?

you cant get someone to see that, they have to realize it on there own.
dont threaten to leave, thats just childish.
keep on being good for him, he either will come around or he wont

You'll get his attention by threatening to leave, but then he'll say goodbye.
A relationship is a two way street. You have to both go the extra mile to make it last. You have to meet his needs and he has to meet yours. This is a lot deeper than physical (that, in fact, is the shallow end). It has to be a joint emotional, mental, psychological, and best friend meeting of the minds and spirits. If you are the only one putting out an effort, there is no chance for success.
What are you doing to make him see that you are good for him (taking into account his career, his present lifestyle, and how the two of you blend together idealogically)? What reason does he have to commit? (again sex ain't it, matter of fact, that's a reason NOT to commit). Why do you need to get his attention? If you don't have it now, you won't later.
Good luck in your efforts. Think about this stuff.

An ultimatum might work but only give it if you're prepared to back it up. However, the real bottom line is that if guys are interested they act like it. PERIOD. They are not complicated enough play the games we sometimes like to think they do. If a man/boy really wants to be with a women/girl HE WILL. PS Don't listen to Sumdrum - Guys DO NOT "come around"

Prove your self to be a good friend of him. Try to be with him always, Listen to him attentively, advise him honestly in every problem he faces any time, avoid to be so much sexy coz guys always feel jealousy , don't talk too much in front of him but let him to talk always. Be a kaind person for him and for his whole family. Take interest in his personal matters and don't fight with him. Yes......some times little cry or few tears in front of him will work too and can make him positive . Don't threaten him to leave, it can react bad. ....GOOD LUCK my friend.

Just be yourself, not what he or someone else wants you to be. Be a confident person that does NOT need him or anyone else to make you happy. Once this goal is achieved, you will be a strong confident woman that many guys will be chasing. Good luck to ya@!!! GaryT
