I love them now but SO hated them as a kid.
I remember one Christmas when I was about 10 years old, being made to sit with a plate of, by then, cold sprouts until I ate the lot, whilst other people opened their presents. How cruel was that?

I love brussel sprouts, but they taste their best when surrounded with a christmas fayre. All my family LOve them.

I love them. But if you don't usually like them but feel that you should at least have a couple seeing as it's Christmas then try slicing them up (raw not cooked) and mix them with a bit of chopped onion and bacon and stir fry them quicky so that they stay fairly crunchy. They're really nice done like that.
