Why do we have to participate in his idea of "life" where we have to struggle for umpteen years then face the possibility of going to Hell? We should be able to quit the whole shebang if we want, right?

You're not getting it. We are thrust into this life which we can't leave at will without going to Hell. Then, we have to jump through his hoops until we get sick and die, or else end up in Hell.

You can but He also has the free will to opt you out of heaven.

You don't have to participate in anything if you don't want to. Religion is a choice not a demand. If you truly know God then why are you struggling? I feel you have answered your own question. But again, life is made up of many choices. I do pray that you have made the correct choice for your life. Everyone can say oh do this or you better do that. But it is has to be your decision and it has to come from the heart.

God Bless

Free will gives you 2 choices: serve God or not. I suggest you read 1 John 5:3 first. Then I suggest you talk to someone who "really" knows the Bible. Sadly, a lot of religions teach things that are NOT in the Bible. Hellfire torment is one of those teachings. The Lord's Prayer or Our Father Prayer talks about God's Kingdom coming on 'earth'. You should find out what that Kingdom is and what it will do for mankind before you make your decision.

I don't think they ever said that free will comes without a cost....I could be wrong about that, since I'm not a bible scholar. But that's the way I've always understood it. You can choose to be bad, but you'll have to pay the piper.

I'm a bad egg myself. I went with plan b.

You have two choices, Hell, or Heaven. Thats it. And God gave us the free will to decide, on earth, what we would like to do. If you want to go to Heaven, you have to believe that Jesus died for your sins. By saying that I mean that God sent Jesus (His son/perfect image of Himself) to die on a cross for our transgressions). Jesus took the punishment for us. He was perfect, Holy, of God, God himself, and he went to hell for three days. Just so we could enter God's Kingdom.. You don't have to be perfect on earth, just accept that Jesus died for you,and live your life for Him. Remember you cannot get to Heaven by works alone, its impossible, you are a sinner, as is everyone. YOur only hope is in Jesus. Soo, I pray you make the right decision. . God says do anything you want just don't hurt the living
Satan uses God to enslave you. says it isn't human but the code.

well to italia a'b'add'on is the code God uses to judge an italian. ie they only get two strikes.

where loyal to LORD GOD get three strikes. I must judge italia harshly for their rebellion. if GOD sounds like 3 death to germans understand DIO as God commands you to punish the italians for the rebellion as in DI(e) O cause rebels can recieve no mercy. It must cease to exist as a nation i say this cause if iran pres can say obliterate israel i can say obliterate rebellious italian angels.

dude religion and politics are two things that people have fought and died for a long time and the two don't mix. from what i understand, free will for me means i have the god given right to choose between good and bad wrong and right up or down. dont get to into the religion aspect of life. there is a saying and it goes... religion is for people who dont want to go to hell and spituality is for people who have already been there.

"If God gave us free will, why aren't we free to opt-out of his plan?"
That is a definition of free will, yes. Take the easy way, it's your prerogative. You can know today that you are his child.

For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Quit whenever you feel freaky I guess. No one says you have to do anything except die and pay taxes. Outside of that you can opt to do whatever you choose.

Maybe you did choose before you came here? In that case, you would have made your choice with full knowledge of the rules and what you would face and the fact that you couldn't take it upon yourself to exit whenever.

Not that I believe that, but it seems to explain away your issue.
