I am doing a newsletter for a group of military wives whose husbands are deployed and have been for over a year. Does anyone know any encouraging poems or words that are relevant to military wives that I could print in our newsletter?

Why use generic poems? Why not use personal stories of the wives & their children. Make it more personal, that way it will be more interesting. Maybe some of them have even written poetry. Many of the children draw inspirational pictures.

Congrats Yoohoo on having 18% BA !!! I'm trying to get better but only 6%.

I can only suggest that you subscribe to the Army Times, the Air Force Times, and the Navy Times to get the most current GOOD information to pass out. Aside from that, maybe the library has some books written by military poets...

Good Luck in the work you're doing.

I have supplied one website below of some letters from the war front during many American conflicts.

The second link is very appropriate, because it speaks to the long and winding road of both marriage and a military life.

Hundreds of thousands of women have sent their American husbands off to war, to protect our precious homeland.

I wish you all the best of luck, in encouraging and uplifting these Soldiers of the Home, for their fortitude and perseverance is as much needed during these times as the bravery and selflessness their men exhibit.

Who am I? I am just a whisper of a shadow.

Who am I? I am just a whisper of a shadow.
Who would you like me to be?
Tell me your song and I will carry your tune.

Who am I? I am just a whisper of a shadow.
Who would you like me to be?
Tell me your words and I will be your story.

Who am I? I am just a whisper of a shadow.
Who would you like me to be?
Reveal your heart to me and I will be your friend for all eternity.
