The rules and boundaries defined by the religion.. the morals and ethics are shaped by the principles that you use to make choices and desicions everyday.. Certain religions states it would not be good to eat non veg and then there is a very logical and good reason to why not.. that is thier principle.. because thats the rule they have created for themselves and thats what they beileve it.. and they have reason and rationality to back it up to why they beileve it that way.. other religions say its okay.. again with thier own reasons to why and why not.. hope this gives you an idea.. but think a bit more larger scale.. k.. good luck..

It means you have a code of ethics taught to you by your faith, and that you follow that code because you are "principled." Having religious principles means you live by those principles. Or try to.

The "principles" part refers to a persons "beliefs". In other words...."religious principles" means "religious beliefs".
