Sometimes my questions are for people 25 and over. I know I get a lot immature kids answering my questions and can't relate to my topics. So where are my mature adults at?

Boy oh Boy that is one way to get one heck of a rep with younger people slamming their maturity ever ask yourself that they may know more than you think. And to think this is on an Etiquette page.

Kenneth, are you surprised by the responses you have received regarding this, (well, question doesn't really desribe it, so I suppose statement will have to do)? This is a community made up of a very diverse audiance and participants. What you said here is patronizing to our younger group under twenty five, and those twenty five and over obviously find it distasteful as well. I am well over twenty five and also find it discriminatory and exclusive towards our younger members.

I enjoy hearing from the younger crowd. I feel they often have a very fresh and uncynical outlook on life and situations, which provides an alternative thought process to some of us who may have gotten into a rut in our thinking patterns. Contrary to your belief that those under the age twenty five are unable to relate, I find them very much able to do so. I have had young responses and found them very enlightening in many ways, most positive. Also, has it occurred to you that perhaps it is good for those younger than twenty five to be exposed to the thought processes of those who are older? It can provide a huge insight into an mature adults thoughts on life, and the experiances which have brought them to the point they are at in life.

I have read other posts who have asked for an "adult" only version of this forum. I am appolled how willing some are to exclude viable people. We do not live in a world of adults only and those younger are going to be leading the world one day soon. We need them to see how life is for us elderly folks and have empathy for our struggles and joys. If we include, and value them, they will return the favor and vice versa. I ask you to rethink your attitude and please remember you can always discount any answer you don't like and simply pay it no attention, just skip on by. Take what you want from here which is of value to you and cast the rest aside. Just be careful you are not casting people aside and in your zealousness for "adult" only responses discount something important.

I wish you a good day and a productive response to any question you post in the future.

It depends on how you ask your question and what time. Most adults 25 and over are either at work or still in collage. Ask your questions around 7-10 pm when most of the adults are using the computer. You might actually get better responses.

Boy, you really got hammered on this one, pal. I'm 58, retired comm. tech. and I find a lot of these young people to be much more mature than most of my older friends. Is this the etiquitte page, or did I goof? -- Ouch!!! -- The rat
Try not acting so superior; a lot of these 'kids' have wisdom beyond thier years, and since when does being over 25 make you mature? Sorry, but that's the truth.

Maturity comes with experience, not with age. Now, did you have a question, or not? By a way, a mature adult would never say "...where are my mature adults at?"

Around the corner, you just need to phase the question in such a way to confound the immature kids out there to not answer it, and make the question make sense for all of us 25 and aboves to understand it in order to answer your questions.

Well I have that age requirement beat by 10 years. Wondering what the mature question was, and hoping it was a good one too.

Just because the answer isn't the way you wanted it to be doesn't automatically means the one giving out the answer aren't mature.

I like being sarcastic at times.

And this is supposed to be a "mature" question? What are you smoking? I want some. It has to be good.
