I've been reading up on Criss Angel, who's a pretty mediocre illusionist who's got his own TV show where he makes his boring, tired old tricks seem more impressive through paid actors and clever camera angles and editing. Anyway, many of his fans seem to believe that Criss is more than an illusionist and actually has supernatural/magic powers. I'm sure that if he wanted to, he could find 12 people who could be convinced he was God.

Then I got to wondering if that's how Jesus made his start. I'm sure a really good illusionist could have faked a crucifiction, laid low for a few days, then reappeared saying "Hey people I'm back from the dead!" then a few weeks later make it look like he was levitating into the sky.

Seems a lot more plausible than that he was actually a God-Man.

An illusionist who could fool an army of roman soldiers and a bunch of hateful fanatic Jews had to be a God-Man.

That theory would work but there is documentation of the death of Jesus, beyond the bible. Josephus documented such things and there is other evidence to suggest that this happened. Knowing Roman culture and the way that crucifixion worked...there is no way to fake a death. The dispute would have to be that he was never hung on the cross at all. Not that he faked his death.

No, Jesus healed many people. So many, the Holy Bible doesn't list them all. Read John and you will see.

Besides, there were no props, camera's or technology that was available at the time. More importantly, He didn't need them. God gave Him all the power He needed and wanted!

There were 500+ that watched him ascend into heaven. Honey, you can't fake that!

so a'bad'don of the abyss( ie Satan of hell) with 1/3 legions of angels rebelled against God the fat'her(r) with His 2/3 legions of angels and who really wins?

when its discovered:

when spain tried to describe LORD GOD they had no choice but to spell is in times new roman font as DIOS.

what they actually were describing was

IIII I . S where the S had a \ at the top end and hid the letters il

so IIII I . Si\ as the spanish God DIOS as IIII I . S

french said DIEU= IIII I E U where E=[iL like God had to be convinced of who He was.

italia's DIO as IIII I .

GOTT in times new roman font reads CuTnuTiT=GOTT

need the LORD continue? GOD=CUTOD

So the living promise of Gods visitation to earth through Me.

Sure anything is possible. But I'd like to see Criss part the ol' red sea.

You could say he faked it--except for the fact that you yourself are still pounding in the nails discredits your argument.

Why would God, who is truth, cast an illusion, which is a lie?
